If we get swept by Commanders with inept offense then we have no business being in the playoffs.

Romo is just about undefeated on the road 8-1?

4 home games left - 3-1
4 road games left 3-1

I predict 13-3

even if we split the games we are 11-5

going 3-5 over the final stretch would mean the Cowboys are, once again, not ready to reclaim the conference...three NFC games will define this team...NY, GB and @ Det...if they can't beat GB in Dallas in the regular season then what guarantees them being able to in the playoffs?

Dallas has plenty of motivation for those three matchups:

Division, Conference, and payback.

Football Outsiders has an estimated 7.4 wins projected for Dallas in the second half...14-2 best case, barring injuries of course.

The real question is can this team become even better with a healthier line-up...does Glenn return for the playoffs?

I think we'll finish 7-1 at home and maybe 6-2 on the road with losses @ Detroit and Washington (starters may not play :))

98% of the human race are idiots. (Yes, that means 98% of you are too! :laugh2:) So, Calvin Watkins has just declared which side of the percentages he belongs too. ;)

Its not just about the Giants game we all expect that game to be tough but to say we're gonna get swept by the Commanders and lose to the JETs of all teams with how we're playing this year is ****ing rediculous

Where did he say we would lose to the Jets?

Perhaps the problem here is your reading comprehension?

At this point in time - The NYG look like the toughest remaining game in our schedule.

If we go into their house and beat them then I think we CAN go 14-2 or 13-3 at the least. I am not ruling out 15-1 if we smoke them this weekend. This team, so far, does not seem to be eating the cheese or taking anything for granted.

Let's think this through a second. I wonder what he thought the breakdown would be at the beginning of the season. I guarantee you he didn't have us going 7-1, then finishing 3-5 to get to 10-6. He probably predicted us losing @ Philly and @ Chicago at least. In that case, we would have been 5-3 right now, and finishing 5-3 to get to 10-6 sounds like a good prediction.

But obviously we did win those games. Basically what he's saying is that he's revising his original second-half prediction from 5-3 to 3-5. So doing better than expected the first half of the season has led him to believe that we'll do worse than expected in the second half.

That makes a lot of sense Watkins.

I don't see how predicting a road loss to a team we had trouble containing at home is such a crazy prediction.

yea it's like saying the Cowboys won't go 15 and 1 makes you an idiot...well maybe they lose this game this weekend by a point on a flukey play and then lose to say Detroit or Carolina...they're 13 and 3...seems pretty good to me but I guess it makes me an idiot too.

I disagree. I think Green Bay and Detriot will give us more problems than the Giants.

So let me get this straight-we're going to lose to the Giants, Lions, Packers, AND the Skins TWICE, and somehow manage to WIN the East??

That's the DUMBEST thing I've ever heard.

I think after a 7-1 start, 10-6 (which was my original prediction before the season started too) is pretty much out of the picture. It would take a big collapse for that to happen. OTOH, this team has been doing that pretty nicely the past several years, so maybe I shouldn't raise my hopes too much.

However, splitting our last 8 games puts us at 11-5. If we play slight above average ball, we are looking at 12-4.

But Calvin is right in saying that next several weeks are going to be a big test. Giants, Washington, Jets (not so much), Green Bay, and Detroit.

4 pretty big games for us in the next 5 weeks.

i think we all know it's going to be a tough game this week with huge division implications. Emotions will be running high and in these rivalry games you can never be sure. The giant's have a fierce pass rush and plaxico and shockey are major offensive weapons. I could see either team winning this one, but you have to like the position Dallas is in. If we lose we will still be in great position to win the East and still take the NFC. if we win the division is ours and we will likely be the NFC favorites.

Yes, I do believe the Giants will win on Sunday and many of you disagree. However, I would like to know if you guys believe the Cowboys will go 15-1 because that's how some of you guys on this blog are acting.
For the record, expect losses this weekend in New York and possibly the next week against the Commanders and then in Detroit and maybe at Washington again. Green Bay is no lock either on Nov. 29.
At the start of the season, I thought the Cowboys would go 10-6 and win the NFC East. I still believe that.
Trust me, though I'm from New York, I'm not a Giants or Jets fan. I just pick who I think will win that day.
Earlier this season, I picked Chicago over the Cowboys and didn't hear a word from anybody. Well, Ken Hamlin said something to me about it. But that's OK, because its all in good fun.

Go Big Blue.

This dude is unreal. How can you honestly think this team will go 10-6 this year

Now what i don't get is this: he picked Chicago over Dallas and he thought at the beginning of the season Dallas will go 10-6. Now Dallas beat Chicago and he still believes that Dallas will go 10-6 ?

That looks more like he wants Dallas to be an 10-6 team and not that he made a really serious prediction.

Well Ceee DUB that's exactly why I don't trust you. Like I'm gonna believe that, don't insult my intelligence. OK even if you aren't a Giants or Jets fan you may be corrupted enough from the yankee land to secretly hate the Cowboys!
