going 3-5 over the final stretch would mean the Cowboys are, once again, not ready to reclaim the conference...three NFC games will define this team...NY, GB and @ Det...if they can't beat GB in Dallas in the regular season then what guarantees them being able to in the playoffs?

Dallas has plenty of motivation for those three matchups:

Division, Conference, and payback.

Football Outsiders has an estimated 7.4 wins projected for Dallas in the second half...14-2 best case, barring injuries of course.

The real question is can this team become even better with a healthier line-up...does Glenn return for the playoffs?

for the record, best case is 15-1, since we only have 1 loss right now

It wouldn't shock me to see us lose to the G'ints. However, I don't think we drop five games in the second half of the season. I think we're looking at 12-4 when all is said and done.

There is one scenario I could see that involves us getting swept by Washington. As we all know, anything can happen in Cowboys-Commanders games. We lost to them last year and twice in 95 even though we clearly had a better team. So I could see us losing the first game on a fluke play or something (not likely, but possible).

But then we don't lose any other game and head into Washington with a 13-2 record. With homefield advantage already secured we put in Sorgi... I mean Johnson after one series and lose a tight one as Tony Curtis, Nate Jones, and Tyson Thompson get slightly outplayed.

Unless the above scenario happens, we are not getting swept by the Commanders this year. I do think the second part of that will come true. I live in the DC area and I'm afraid to buy tickets for this game because I think we'll be resting our starters.

I disagree. I think Green Bay and Detriot will give us more problems than the Giants.

I think the Giants have the best balanced attack of those three teams easily and we are on the road in a hostile environment. We will be at home for Green Bay who really does not have a running game to fear and at Detroit which I don't consider that hostile and they don't have a very good defense.

We have a solid chance of matching our franchise record of 13-3. That would be sweet.

But one game at a time. Giants are a good team. If we lose to them at home, I won't feel terrible. But if we're to prove we're a step above, then we have to win this one.

I hate to look ahead, but the road is long. We have some tough games. I can't let this one slip by.

The road is long but how about this; If we beat the Giants Sunday we will be 2 games ahead of them with 7 to play and have swept them. We could go just 3-4 the rest of the year and the Giants would have to go 6-1 to be ahead of us. Now if the skins went 6-2 from today that's a 3 way tie or at least a tie with them alone. Bottom line, if the Boys win Sunday they are sitting very very pretty for the division.

Big Blue Stuff

Yes, I do believe the Giants will win on Sunday and many of you disagree. However, I would like to know if you guys believe the Cowboys will go 15-1 because that's how some of you guys on this blog are acting.
For the record, expect losses this weekend in New York and possibly the next week against the Commanders and then in Detroit and maybe at Washington again. Green Bay is no lock either on Nov. 29.
At the start of the season, I thought the Cowboys would go 10-6 and win the NFC East. I still believe that.
Trust me, though I'm from New York, I'm not a Giants or Jets fan. I just pick who I think will win that day.
Earlier this season, I picked Chicago over the Cowboys and didn't hear a word from anybody. Well, Ken Hamlin said something to me about it. But that's OK, because its all in good fun.

Go Big Blue.
