I think he’d be really good throughout his Rookie Contract, which is all anyone should expect from 99% of any drafted RB.
Just don’t do something stupid like the Jones did with Zeke.
Yep, I agree. Should've never extended Zeke in year 3. Give him 4 years on his rookie contract to show what he can do. If he isn't showing signs of aging, extend him 4 years with an out after the second and see what happens from there.

Remember DaRon Bland was a 5th rounder . This team is so poor defensively against contenders that it’s not possible to draft multiple running backs when Dowdle at over a 1000 yards can compliment a Sampson speed type back . Dowdle has also shown a talent for receiving out of the backfield as well .

I think he would be a good rotational back. Good goal line and short yardage.

I do not think he is a viable long term running back as a starter. I think his style will be hard to maintain in the NFL.

I do love that he goes full blast and is a hell of a college football player.

That's the context most fans miss. I don't care how many pick 6s we get vs Sam Howell lol. Any contender especially late in the year we are dookie

Also Rico started some years on IR. Maybe it was to stash him, but it's still risky to put eggs in his basket. Who knows, he'll command more than min wage, might of priced himself out of big d lol

Not to go off topic but why didn’t MM get a back like Leupke in the game plan this year ?

I would pass on this ASU back in favor of a back with speed like Sampson out of Tenn and pair him up with Dowdle and more Leupke in 25 .
In the first couple of games of the season it sure did seem like Leupke was going to be more involved on offense. If anything, Leupke could have equaled the production Zeke gave us. Actually, I'm wrong, saying that is a discredit to Leupke. I'm pretty certain if given a chance Leupke would have forced Zeke off the team months ago. This is one of those situations I believe Jerry forced his say, and it was Jerry and only Jerry who brought Zeke back.

He's alot of fun to watch and I wouldn't be too upset if we saw a trade to the late 2nd to take him.

A couple of concerns:
- cardio. He wore down in the second half and had to take lengthy breathers in the sideline in key moments
- durability. He reminds me of a more athletic Mike Alstott, but he isn't as thick as Alstott. How long will his body last playing with reckless abandon the way he does? Does he have the athletic ability to be effective without running like a mad man? Marion Barber comes to mind.

Otherwise he looks like a guy that can find a role on any team. Strong runner, deceptively good receiver, heart of a champion, refuses to quit. He's the kind of guy I'd want on my team, even if he doesn't provide much past his rookie contract. Entire teams can feed on the effort I saw from this player today. He fills a need and elevates the offense day 1. I want Jeanty, but I love what Skattebo brings to the table.
He did need some breathers, but he hasn't had to play a full game all year. ASU was usually up in the fourth pretty big and Skattebo would be out of the game. He had nearly 40 touches and accounted for 56% of their yards against Texas.

He's a power back for sure with multiple tricks to him. Give him a great line and Dallas could dominate. I'm a Texas fan at that.

Ravens Lions Early season Saints Eagles twice Bengals scored last 2 mins to win ….you can’t contend for a SB if your defense is terrible against top talent

You don't extend Zeke b/c you don't pay rbs unless your team is like one piece away from competing for super bowls. Drafting him #4 overall was a bigger mistake.

Love Skattebo. He has the kind of grit and heart this team lacks. Born leader. I don't think he'll have a long career bc of his style of running. But who cares? I see him pairing with a speed back and just giving teams nightmares late in games. You need 2 yards for a first down or across the goal line..... wear a defense down..... this is the guy.

Seemed like the team just made him a fullback and kept him there. Maybe that's all he really is, but they wrote him out of plays when early on he capitalized on his limited targets.

He will also be the first guy down on kick return looking to use that block head of his to put a hat on someone.
