I wouldn't be surprised if Tyron was first team All-Pro this year. Locking him into that contract might be Jerry's best individual move in the last decade.

He's a distinct possibility to get experience spelling any one and perhaps even all three of those spots this year.

You need 4 CBs in the NFL. We have one good one, one average one and one liability as your top 3 right now and Patmon is still very much an unknown. Jones is a much better CB then he was at Safety anyways

If I were to rank our defensive starters, he'd probably be #11. Definitely would be nice to upgrade this position.

Why exactly

Because we are going to have somewhere between four to six CBs capable of starting or being a good nickel CB. We have two starting caliber Safeties that are both SS types. If Jones plays a Centerfield type of FS you will have a lot more INT's out of this defense, plus the coaches will be able to confuse OC's by moving Jones up to a cover position in the box at any time they want.

The dropoff from Jones at CB to the player behind him on the depth chart isn't that big of a drop. But putting Jones at FS makes that group a strong unit with depth and playmaking ability, instead of keeping two SS types deep on every down.
