Can 9 year veteran Dak Prescott lead today's Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl?

It’s the team, Prescott is every bit as good if he had the team. Now that is years of getting on and he’s more injury prone it’s a different story. Hate blinds.
The title of this thread and discussion is Can Prescott lead today's Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl. And no matter what horse **** you say on here the FACT remains that up to this point, 10 years worth of football and teams, the answer has been no.

Not only is it a no, but its a Hell no. That's a fact. Now I can't teach you attention skills and I can't teach you how to follow a thread. My advice would be to seek counseling.

That’s what I thought, just pure ignorance
Ok we can do this yet again.

Is it a fact or not that Prescott has better numbers than all of those Quarterbacks? No. It's not a fact. You are wrong.

But regardless, what does numbers have to do with winning Super Bowls? What does those other Quarterbacks have to do with Dak Prescott? Absolutely nothing lol.

I made a post earlier this month about Dak having the best opportunity to have his best season given the talent acquisition. But I would be lying if I didn't admit to having some intrigue about Milton and his potential!

Weren’t you the one that said if Prescott had been QB for the Chiefs, they would’ve beaten the Eagles in the Super Bowl? And you’re asking other people to get a clue?

I can give you a clue.

The clue is three and 10. Three Divisional Playoff games in 10 years.

Once you figure out the answer, tell us all how that proves he's capable of winning a Super Bowl?
  • Cowboys defense in the 5 playoff losses:
    • Avg giving up 31 points per game. (Take out the GB loss and still avg giving up 27 ppg)
    • Avg giving up 157 yards per game on the ground. (Take out the 273 in the 2018 rams L and we still avg giving up nearly 130 yds per game on the ground)
    • 3rd down conversions. In the 5 playoff losses of the last decade, our defense allowed 30 of 58 3rd downs to be converted. 52%!! Horrible.
    • Despite being one of the best sack teams in the league, the Cowboys only had 4 total sacks in all 5 playoff losses. Less than 1 per game.
    • Despite being one of the better defenses to create TOs, our D only had 3 TOs created in the 5 playoff losses.

Do we have a super bowl pass rush? Yes

Do we have a potentially top oline? Yes

Do we have two number 1 wr? Yes

Do we have a legitimate franchise QB in his prime? Yes

Did we improve at cb ? Yes ( Carson, bland, revel and elam are all healthy and should be ready for week 1).

Did we add legit depth at rb? Yes

We could also add Ramsey at CB or S

Potential cause for concern

Run defense ...
Dak in the playoffs in tight situations ....
Can Pickens keep it together mentally ...

I see a really really good team that has all the components and especially considering they are in the NFC, yes they are a super bowl contender.

Are they in the second tier behind a KC or buffalo, sure. But we wouldn't meet them until we got to the super bowl regardless.

My super bowl contenders in ranking going into this season based on roster, quarterback, draft picks, and potential are as follow....

Buffalo - potentially historic team this year. Absolutely loaded... Think 91 Washington or 96 packers. Best oline in football and it's not close. Defense is loaded with new talent. 15-2 or 16-1 imho
KC- obviously a top tier until proven otherwise.
Philadelphia - excellent roster, QB is good not great. Oline is still dominant even with aging Johnson and rg ?
Baltimore - really good team, Lamar in the playoffs not good...
Cincinnati - if the defense is avg, dangerous
Detroit - very good team, but maybe that's it.
Rams - really good team, young roster, Stafford has a couple years left?
Dallas - very nice talent at key spots, new staff? Potentially top oline
Texans. - very good defense, Stroud is good, is he great? Oline is a question???

Wildcards

Green Bay - Jordan love is a MVP darkhorse
Tampa- Baker is legit, young talented defense.
49ers- bounce back year

Out of nowhere - bears and Jaguars

Defense wins championships.
Quarterbacks are part of a team
The game is won in the pitts
You wanna blame somebody, blame the GM.
Blame the head coach
The team is a reflection of him and he was soft
Blaming one person is not having a clue on how the game is really played.

I agree 100%.

Dak is more than fine. I loved the booker pick to help build a dominant oline. Pass rush should be excellent.

It's going to be a fun year!

In a word: No.
Imho a good heuristic for determining a super bowl contender is this simple question :

If you took an avg QB or even slightly below avg QB and put it on x team, would they still be able to make the playoffs and at minimum be competitive? ( A 10 win team basically)

The eagles last year, and KC in 23 won the Superbowl because of their defense imo

People that believe he has a chance are the same people that tune into mega millions drawings.
