Can a team win after losing top running back and then QB and best receiver?

The road thing is more recent but Garrett has always done well against the division. Give him his due.

Since Garrett has been the head coach the NFC East has been ripe for the taking EVERY year with nearly the last game of the season deciding playoffs. The team choked every year until last year under his reign. Nothing special about dominating what you should dominate in my opinion.

If we make the playoffs, Garrett should be coach of the year. One game at a time.

I agree, Losing 1 key player such as Dez is difficult then to lose the franchise QB and you still have 3 key players on defense who are not in the lineup. Yet this team keeps battling. I think it says a lot about Garrett and his coaching staff.

This team is deep with talent and it was the defense that saved our butts last week. Which has little to do with Garrett. How about giving credit to Marinelli and the boys on defense instead of professing your man love to Garrett?

I give credit to the staff that is their job it is Garrett job to oversee the entire team. That is what a HC does, that is what Jimmy did. It has nothing to do with calling plays it has to do with overseeing everything offense, defense special team but then you don't know much to begin with so I will leave you to yourself since you tend to offer nothing but the same old stuff good luck with that

LOL..........if you are comparing what Jimmy did for this team to what Garrett does, then it is you that doenst have a clue. Jimmy had control over personnel, coaches, draft, hiring, firing cutting, ect...ect....

Garrett barely has control over who is on his own staff. Dont make me laugh with your overblown love affair with Garrett. You can bet I am going to call you out on it every time you do it.

Yet if he didn't dominate what he should dominate you would crucify him for that. You just don't want to give credit where it's due.

Its not HIM, its the team. Look pal, coaches have different responsibilities and powers from team to team. Its not my fault Garrett has been limited here in Dallas. Its really his own fault. He had full control of the offense for 8 years and he completely bumbled the job. Garrett is doing what he does best now, which is NOT run the offense and manage game day. He is a good organizer, great people skills, and seems to have some qualities in motivation. But motivation only works if your winning. And he has only won for a year as head coach.

The best coach on this team in my opinion is Marinelli. Then I would go with Linehan. The team is winning more so for the presence of these coaches then anything Garrett has done with the product on the field. And the talent at hand has been gathered with 3 very good drafts in a row by the brass of Jerry, Stephen, Clay. These are the personnel guys on Dallas.

But I will ask again..............What is it that you want to give Garrett direct credit for?

He has the Cowboys fighting through adversity with a chance to be 3-0 after Sunday's game. This team has a never give up mentality. That is Jason Garrett. He's doing a good job.

Some of that goes to Jason Garrett. But should a coach really get credit for his teams not folding? In my book that is par for the course. I just dont see anything this guy does special. 50 other coaches could keep this teams spirits up. Plenty of talent left on this team and plenty of leaders.

You dont think Sean Lee or Gregg Hardy have anything to do with the defense not giving up? Why would anyone give up?

You just don't want to give Garrett credit for the recent success, but if things go downhill he will be a bum in your eyes. I get it. It's cool.

I give him credit for hiring Linehan. But he probably wouldnt have done it had he not been forced to give up the play calling.

I think he is good organizer and players coach. Very likeable.

But how can I give him most of the credit for the recent success when the biggest difference is that he no longer runs the offense? THAT, and the fact that the talent on the roster has upgraded significantly because of the last 3 drafts. And we have gotten rid of many overpriced FA's and not resigned others. (Murray)

But again, he doesnt do that for this team so how can I give him credit.

So Garrett has no input in player acquisition and deciding who to get rid of? OK. Gotcha.

Nope, never said that. Im sure they ask him his opinion. But that isnt his job. Are you simply blind? Jerry and stephen run the GM work here. Have you just been absent the last 20 years? McClay now runs the scouting and draft. What part DONT you understand?

Do you really think Garrett just went out and made the trade for Cassel? How wrong can you possibly be?

So Garrett ran up to Jerrys office and told him that we need to make a trade for Cassel and what to do? Then he called up the other team and made it happen right?

You are either drunk or smoking something.

Every organization is a reflection of its leadership. How do you rank the character of this team vs the teams pre JG?

My opinion is that this team is as focused and professional as it has been in a long time.

JG gets credit for setting the tone and creating the environment that allows for that.
