I seem to recall at least two decent drives in the first half getting stalled by penalties that left the Cowboys in third and long. The first half was when the Pack ran up 21 points while our clock killing offense was on the bench.

Did you see the replay? He ran up, was , 'oh ****' and turned around. He wasn't in any huddle. Believe me, they aren't slick enough to be attempting to fool anyone.

Exactly what I said to my wife who is a huge packers fan. I looked at her during the replay and said.. Is he in the huddle? Even she said no.. he never huddled. The team huddled after he jogged away.

Just insanely obvious favoritism.

The reason we don't see it is because no other players are stupid enough to do it.
Butler has proven throughout the season that he is a liability with penalties. Taunting against the 49ers that ended a drive comes to mind. dropping a TD pass in tonight's game. He got an unsportsmanlike penalty that hasn't been called since Michael Jackson was singing Thriller all over the world.

Unsportsmanlike penalty for having 12 men around a huddle or whatever it was is by far the worst call I have ever seen in 40 years of watching football. Amazing. It's also amazing that whenever Dallas got called for penalties it kept the Packers' drives alive or swung momentum. I'm bitter about this loss. I don't want Butler on the team next year just because of today.

That we would have won without that phantom Butler/huddle call? I've watched at least 1000 NFL games and never heard of it

My dad has been watching since the sixties. I turned to him and asked about it, and he'd never heard of it either. I told him the fix was in again.

It's BS calls like that by refs that make people think refs are biased. That call against Butler is a judgment call, if offense looks like it's trying trick D when changing players in huddle (like sending 15 guys to huddle at once & not letting D adjust personnel as well). It was also obvious Butler was just confused, ran off the field and wasn't going to be involved in the play.

I'll go with the pass interference with the ball 20 yes over his head. No discussion about it not being catchable, nothing. That was a killer and absolutely terrible.

The hands to the face on Mo was also ticky tack. If they call it straight up, every one of ours to every one of theirs, we win handily. So stop saying it went both ways...it didn't.

That's because no other team has been stupid enough to do it before.

"Why is it unsportsmanlike conduct for an NFL player to enter a huddle and then leave the field? The league doesn't want teams to try to deceive defenses by using fake substitution patterns. If you send in a player that you're going to eventually pull off the field, the defense might be left with the personnel it wanted to go against that particular player. The league doesn't consider that strategy to be within the spirit of the game. The Cowboys were more likely confused than they were trying to deceive, but that is the rule."

Are you kidding me? I guarantee you that exact same scenario has played out at least 100 times over the course of the season with no call. At least 100 if not more.

The official had a choice to make the call or let it go. 99.9% of the time it is ignored. But hey, it's Dallas....let's throw the flag and burn the big play of a long pass bringing them out of fg range, take away their 1st down and subsequently make them punt. Huge difference maker. I know...conspiracy theory, but how come Dallas....how come today?

It wasn't even a huddle, they didn't huddle up yet. After that call I thought to myself that the NFL wants the Aaron Rodgers show to continue. They want a Patriots Green Bay Super Bowl.
Did you think to yourself they wanted a Patriots Green Bay Super Bowl when they didn't call the obvious PI against Claiborne in the first half that would have given GB a first down instead of punting from their own 5-10 yard line?

I'm disappointed and still in shock of how this all went down but I can't blame the officiating on this loss. There were a couple penalties and non penalties on both teams that were questionable. All in all we just got beat.

I've heard of the rule but I'm not sure Butler violated it. The huddle wasn't actually formed yet and he was standing behind where it formed up. It didn't determine the outcome so I'm not really concerned about it. In the end, a hall of fame QB made a hall of fame play and edged us out.

What got to me is how the official seemed angry at the Cowboys when he made the call. His tone seemed pissed off to me as if they had done something egregious. Yet that something never gets called.
