My friend in dallas just heard that an cowboys insider on the ticket said the cromartie/ choice deal could go down in a week. She said the cowboys would move him to safety. Also she said that Jerry would help with the child support issues. She's a diehard and wouldn't B.S. me. Just wanted to know if anyone else heard.

That right there is why you shouldn't buy this. Why would he do that for a player he doesn't even know?

Cromartie at safety would be awful. The guy is affraid to hit.

Hes living off of his rookie season and I was high on the guy before he was ever selected by an NFL team while he was @ FSU.

My bad on the child support thing. Her text read she was hoping Jerry could help him out, but still said the deal could go down.

Wasn't San Diego already doing that by, you know, paying him every week?

I think 'Rumor' in the title would suffice.

Cowboys plan on keeping running backs
By Tim MacMahon
ESPNDallas.com

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Dallas Cowboys' backfield will probably be crowded again next season.

Executive vice president Stephen Jones said he expects all three backs -- Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice -- to remain Cowboys.

"I can tell you right now I don't see it a whole lot different than last year," Jones said Thursday at the NFL scouting combine. "All of these guys have gotten opportunities to help us win games. That will continue to be the case."

Jones said the Cowboys have not received any trade proposals for Choice, the third-string back who shined as a starter in December 2008, although there was speculation that the San Diego Chargers offered cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Jones added that the Cowboys do not plan to pursue any trades involving Choice.

The running backs' roles could change. It's likely that Felix Jones will be the lead horse, a role he took over toward the end of last season. But Stephen Jones didn't want to predict the future beyond the running backs' roster status.

"Usually those things take care of themselves," he said. "They play themselves out. Very rarely does it not crystallize for you."

Any deal "could" go down. I highly doubt this one will. I think we would be more likely to trade Barber than Choice. Even though it is harder to do.

Salary, age, and Choice runs the razorback formation.

I just don't see it.

Didn't Wade have a hand in drafting Cromartie?.. Just sayin....

Didn't Cromartie have his best year when the Chargers had a great pass rush?....Just sayin..

Don't we have a pretty good pass rush?...just sayin..

We have a better Cromartie....Mike Jenkins (he actually can tackle)

Newman isn't going anywhere.

Cromartie would be the #3 CB at best here. Might not even be that.

Just sayin

Wow, people sure have forgotten some of Newman's struggles this year.

I actually could see this trade. Last week when they had Tomlinson and Sproles, I said that there is no way this rumor had any teeth.

Now, the Chargers don't have a RB and probably see Choice as a feature back, just like many of us do. Choice also has really developed in his blitz pickups and receiving, which would be necessary in the Charger offense.

I could easily see this one going down. We don't use Choice much anyway and Newman is headed out fast. I don't care what Jerry says about trades or no trades. That's his job as a GM and lying is part of his job description.

I believe that Cowboys management has turned the corner re: the importance of attitude, professionalism, and enthusiasm and how it relates to winning teams and franchises.

Choice for Cromartie (who the Chargers are trying to give away) would completely go against what i hope, and believe, the Cowboys are trying to accomplish.
