Nope, just the checks. Is he really interested in Football?
Thats where you are wrong Stash, there is dog in him alright, unfortunately its Dachshund. Often injured and usually sleeping.

At some point you have to attack the wide nine technique by running the ball.
It's the equivalent of knocking a basketball team out of the press by beating the press. Gotta make em pay for that.
Nope, just the checks.
What part of he played well in the absence of Tyron the last time he played live? In practice he may have had a good week of practice. Just in the game he played bad.If the staff has not noticed his poor footwork and bad hand placement by now and needed to see it in a live game, they are a worse staff than we given the credit for.
After watching Bob Sturm's film breakdown, on Dallas Morning News, of Green's horrible performance it's obvious that his technique was atrocious! His footwork was horrible and he had a tendency to drop his head every time he tried to engage any Falcon DE.
He looked like a 2nd string High Schooler.
The question is, can that be corrected, and in a short time?
He was very serviceable as Tyron's backup last year when he was out for games.
I guess the best we can hope is that Green was extremely rusty and that he is able to make necessary corrections in his Technique.
I'm sure the coaches were surprised by his lackluster performance because they've seen what he can do in previous games and practice. It's like they were hoping he could settle down and correct his issues during the game but it never happened. I think that's why they waited so long to pull him.
LOL, good teams coach players up.....we have the coaching staff to coach them down. When he has filled in before, in limited times, he did not look that bad.
Now you have to wonder also...
Did they have him battle with Cooper because they thought Cooper might not be good enough to win the spot...or did they have him compete with Cooper because they did not think Green could be a good swing tackle.
Many questions and we may never found out the truth on it.
One or two or three sacks is a bad game. This was an epic systemic failure that you cannot simply pin on a player having a bad day. This was a backup like Clayborn registering six sacks and it could have been moreWhat part of he played well in the absence of Tyron the last time he played live? Did Green give up any sacks when he had outside help?
Was he ok in run blocking?
If we had gone full Chocolate Lab, running heavily with two or three TEs, would he have been functional?
Could he have held up if we only ran 3 step passes?
Let the sharks eat Green in the tankI'm betting against Chaz Green. Sorry, but I see a fragile player, both physically and mentally. No grit, no determination, and no confidence. No "dog" in him.
That's why, despite his early struggles, I still have some measure of faith in Taco Charlton. I think he does have fight in him. The determination to take his lumps, keep working, and get better. Will Taco ever be great? Will he ever be worth the pick? I can't say for sure. But I do feel that he won't fail for lack of trying or being too weak to handle it.
But that's what I see in Chaz Green.
And it won't shock me if and when this staff is actually starting Byron Bell this week because Green has gone into the tank.
