I mean, Cooper Rush was fantastic. But he doesn't do that without the offensive linemen who did the dirty work.
Yes. When Tyron gets back and inevitably gets hurt again, it will be even better.
We will need it when we face the Bird Flu team again.
I gotta think that something is going to go Tyron Smith's way. He can never catch a break, so he's due.
The line has been a revelation this season. Tyler Smith looks every bit of an NFL starter at LT, McGovern/Peters have played as well as you could possible ask for, Biadasz has had himself a very nice season, Martin is his usual HOF self, and Terrance Steele has turned into an absolute road grader in the run game while also being a capable pass blocker.
Coming into the season I think many of us (myself included) thought the line was going to be a major problem. I would argue at this point they have played like a top-10 unit and have been the main driver of a resurgent rushing attack. A round of applause.

I kind of think it was the defense that did the dirty work while the offensive line began to improve.I mean, Cooper Rush was fantastic. But he doesn't do that without the offensive linemen who did the dirty work.

Difficult to clap for an average 21 points a game and 24th in the NFL for yardage.
However, the 6th lowest sack percentage is very encouraging.
But don't worry, this line will have a great opportunity to earn applause at the end of the season. Their last three games are against teams with some of the best defensive lines in the league
I remember screaming for a new OL Coach. Maybe I was wrong.

Now go away, Mr. Needy.
Yes. It appears that Philbin may have gotten some unwarranted hate here. Maybe it takes a little longer for linemen to grasp what he wants them to do or maybe the linemen just weren't good enough last year. Steele still hadn't been a full-time starter. Biadasz was in his first year as a full-time starter. Williams just wasn't very good. Tyron missed some time and seemed to play through some injuries. Collins' play slipped coming back from injury.
Sometimes we're asking more of coaches than they realistically can deliver. Time and better players can be necessary.
I was a little worried about Steele, but he proved me dead wrong. But I figured Biadasz would come around, and I thought Tyler Smith would be at LG and Tyron would be at LT, and Tyron would be in and out, and we'd likely work Tyler in that way.
We haven't missed a beat . . .with Tyler, that is.
I figured we wouldn't, though, when we drafted him.
I'll tell you this much, though. If Tyler Smith were playing guard, and Tyron were playing LT, we could dominate in the run game with either back.
I ultimately think that's what we'll do anyway. Not many teams with more potential in the run game than ours regardless of the back, really.
Any back would like to be behind this line. Jerral and Stephen did fantastic work in the offseason and then topped if off with a cherry by adding Jason Peters.

He's had a nice career. It may just be that his body is saying it's time to quit.
