Rush did play past his potential....and he did it under a lot of pressure at times both in clock and 3rd and longs

And then they came through on it enough to win. They were just keeping Cooper Rush upright. But I will agree to an extent that Cooper Rush actually did help this line get better, or that it worked both ways.

In the end, most of the credit should go to Kellen Moore for realizing what he had to work with and what he was up against, and why he should do X,Y,Z. He's thinking ahead 3-4 plays ahead, which is what he should be doing.

His first game wasn't so great, but every game after that, cept maybe some calls in Philly, have been on the money.

I personally do not think Philly beats Dallas twice. No way.

I mean, Cooper Rush was fantastic. But he doesn't do that without the offensive linemen who did the dirty work.

Hats off to the Oline coach, Philbin. He's gotten a lot of flack here lately, but I think he's been doing a really good job in coaching this oline up.

He's had a nice career. It may just be that his body is saying it's time to quit.

His age is deceiving when you start adding up years of nfl contact. You know he takes care of himself too. He looks like a freaking bodybuilder, has to be one of the most ripped up OTs I can recall. Lol.

Yeah I have to apologize to him. It's strange because he did pretty well with a mash unit in 2020, and then the line looked like trash in 2021. We go into 22 without our starting LT and having lost LC and CW, yet he exceeds expectations again.

Kellen Moore, too, though, by doing more of what they can do rather than forcing a mold.

mr Plastic--- last 3 games we go 3-0...that means tons of Plats....we are going not for the Gold as in Olympics but going for Platinum as deep run playoffs.....unfortunate injuries other teams not us

and refs make bad calls other teams and ball bounces our way....that is how Cincinnati came out of nowhere to almost win SB and should have...and they had one of the worst O lines in NFL
Yes, I agree, but how does this translate to accolades for the offensive line?

We've had our share of heroes in the first half of the season and some are on the offensive line but not exclusively.

I can think of at least three squads on the team that deserve applause before the O-line. How about the D-line, RB's and TE's?

Good teams are capable of absorbing bad calls. If they were a good team then they would be better than other teams by far more than a few bad calls.

Don't get me wrong, this O-line is trending in the right direction but they have been vulnerable to aggressive D-lines and there will be plenty of playoff opponents with those kind of lines. All I'm saying is that let's save he applause for when this O-line can succeed against one of those defenses.

Terrence Steele has been quite a find at RT . Joe Philbin must be doing something right . And Tyler Smith as your LT now and for years yes Hello Will McClay thank you.

Was listening to Houston vs Eagles on radio last night sounds like Kenyon Green the # 1 pick was run over by the Eagles bus last night. . Was my choice pre draft for. Dallas , Tyler Smith is turning out to be quite a pick now leave him at LT stop thinking. Of moving him Tyron Smith not healthy enough anymore for NFL battles .

I remember screaming for a new OL Coach. Maybe I was wrong.

I don't know what to think about Philbin. The line was really pretty incompetent by the end of last season with seemingly better talent than this season. This year they seem to have completely revitalized the position group. I don't really understand why the switch flipped, but it did.

It also is worth mentioning that Collins' play had slipped pretty far and Connor Williams was a mess. We just have a bunch of solid guys now with our hall of fame anchor Zack Martin holding it down. I like this position group.

Exceeded my expectations for sure, but still worried about our pass protection if we’re forced to throw more.

I posted in another thread our team pass protection win rate was near the bottom of the league.

We need a healthy Tyron in order to make a playoff run IMO.

Great post!!!!:yourock:Amazing that the line is playing so well and nobody really brings it up. Then in a preseason game in Denver playing with mostly backups, your offensive line is a failure and then there are multiple posts saying fire Philbon or replace the guard, center, right tackle.

It what happens when you have some consistency on the line.

People mention Dak's poor play late last season vs earlier in the season, but fail to notice that coincides with when Smith went out and the line began to shuffle. It's no coincidence that our run game suffered during the same period.

I was a little worried about Steele, but he proved me dead wrong. But I figured Biadasz would come around, and I thought Tyler Smith would be at LG and Tyron would be at LT, and Tyron would be in and out, and we'd likely work Tyler in that way.

We haven't missed a beat . . .with Tyler, that is.

I figured we wouldn't, though, when we drafted him.

I'll tell you this much, though. If Tyler Smith were playing guard, and Tyron were playing LT, we could dominate in the run game with either back.

I ultimately think that's what we'll do anyway. Not many teams with more potential in the run game than ours regardless of the back, really.

Any back would like to be behind this line. Jerral and Stephen did fantastic work in the offseason and then topped if off with a cherry by adding Jason Peters.
The only reason why I want to see Tyron back is that a Tyron/Tyler left side could be every bit as lethal as the Martin/Steele right side when we run the football.:omg:
