If he can be a little more consistent, I don't see why not. The issue with Irving is his odd number of snap counts he gets per week (His snaps should rise this year) and he seemed to get gassed at times last year.

But they said his conditioning was a lot better this year, and he's in his third season, so he might take that next step. He's looked good thus far.

It's possible. With Lawrence generating most of the attention, should help free things up for Irving.

Granted it's way too early to know what will occur with Irving the rest of the season... It's almost unbelievable we could potentially have two guys with double digit sacks on the season. Never thought it was possible heading into the year.

I think Irving can do whatever the hell he wants to do in this game. He is our most talented Dlineman and it's really not that close.

I think Lawrence is that right now, but Irving is a close second. I’m surprised to say it but our pass rush looks good. I wish we had a big run stopping 1 technique. However, we’ll be alright if our young secondary matures and our LB’s stay healthy.

Im pleasantly surpised because at the beginning of last season I didn't see him as a true pass rusher. I thought he was going splash play run defender who may be serviceable as a rusher. I remember debating this with @Jstopper . Looks like I may have been wrong

My point is pure talent. Irving is on the same level as JPP (pre injury) or even Julius Peppers. Dude is a straight up freak of nature.

Irving looks like a monster out on the field. His shear size stood out to me on a few plays today. Imagine having that guy come barreling at full steam towards you. LOL

It will be expensive to keep both Irving and Tank. Have to do it though. I would imagine Crawford gets cut next season.

Or Crawford resigns a much cheaper deal that has incentives built in. He has played well since he got healthy, but his contract is 6 MM next year (non guaranteed, 7 and 8MM in the following years). He might be kept at a 6MM salary if he keeps playing like he has in the last couple of games, mostly because we have plenty of cap room. But the odds are against it.
