Regular season Marty, Great marty

Playoff season marty Bad Marty.


Brian can do whatever he wants, its not going to make a difference.

he has 4 years of being paid.

He KNEW exactly what he was doing, teh same as MM.

Why are we comparing Brian Schottenheimer to his late father? Two totally different eras of coaching. Russell Wilson threw 40 TD passes in a season with Brian Schottenheimer as his OC. It would take a QB three years to get that many under his dad.

Also "Marty Ball" was not always used as a good term. It was frequently used as a negative dig. Run on first down, run on second down, pass on third down, then punt.

Definitely!
A good running game should help a subpar defense.
Keeps the opposing offenses off the field.
It’s probably still won’t get us over the championship hump, but at least it should help us getting embarrassed every Sunday!

For those too young to remember Brian’s dad Marty was an excellent head coach who preached the run game as priority… one would hope the genetic trait got passed down and we draft a bruising back who can grind it out.. control the clock etc…. That would really save Dak a lot of pressure from having to have every game with 3 passing touchdowns and no interceptions

I think our chances of drafting a RB in round 1 or 2 just went up 100%.

Thought he got a raw deal.
Wasn't his fault Earnest Byner couldn't hold on to the football.

That was his closest miss, but he coached a long time and is best known for his playoff futility and his coaching tree. I think a good argument could be made that Brain has been given many of his opportunities b/c of his dad's reputation.

Yep.


Dak just isn’t a big game player.

On top of that we saw teams have to go and play in the snow this past weekend.

The Cowboys quickest path to success is a run game because there is just too many holes on this roster and a run game can help mask it.

Next season already feels like another waste.
