Well, after resigning McClain I don't see another place for Jack to play. So, I guess Myles is off the board.

Doubtful, Ro is one puff from a 10 game suspension and is on a one year deal, his off/on play is not going to preclude taking Jack as a LB.

Second, Jack can play any and all the positions, a feature Eberflus covets and can play the will perfectly assuming Lee gets injured again.

SAM would not be a good use of his talents.

Well, it would be too high to take a guy that is going to be a backup year one.

I doubt the Cowboys pick jack at 4 but he has to be in the conversation, in this class, he is a top 5 talent.

Further, he can line up at safety, corner and paste TE's, RB's and WR's, he is awesome in coverage so you can line him up anywhere and he can make an impact.

I think if he were in their plans they wouldn't have resigned McClain......which is a shame.

Absolutely! Jack is the most athletic and talented LB in the DRAFT! If he was not injured, he would be a guaranteed top five pick! He can run like a deer, he's strong like bull and he is smart. Go back and look at his tape before his knee injury and I a sure you would agree. In that 4-3 defense, LB talent elevates the D after you are solid up front!:)

But the problem is when you go nickle, which is often, a LB has to come off the field. They aren't taking Lee off the field in nickle. And they aren't taking Ro off the field in nickle.

That would leave Jack.

You can't draft a guy at 4 to play 30-40% of the snaps on defense and/or hope that one of your other LBs gets hurt so you can play your #4 pick more.

I think there's little chance they take Jack at 4. If I had to guess at this point given the stated big needs of the team from the owner............ 4 is going to be either Ramsey, Buckner, Bosa or they shock and take a QB.

I disagree with you! McClain will only be on the field in nickel for the first few games! Then it will be Lee and Jack in the nickel because of his supreme coverage skills ans athletic ability. And don't forget about how often both lee and McClain are kicked up! At 4, Bosa is not an option. Ramsey, Jack or Buckner would work for me!:)

Thats why I would be pissed of they pass on a QB to take Jack. Dont dislike the player but of your drafting in now mode (a mistake) why pass on a QB for a player that is gonna log 30% snaps? Jack is a good coverage backer but rookies tend to get abused in coverage and we have good to solid coverage LBs right now

I cannot wait to see how well Jack runs on his pro day! If he is healed real good, Jack will run in the 4.4's. And then doubters will not be able to deny his supreme athletic ability! He will greatly improve our D.:)

A rookie QB will not play in Dallas! Not just this year, the next three or four years! At 4, we need a player who will be able to help this putrid team immediately! We were 4-12 last year. Can we really afford to take a pick at 4 and sit him for years. It is not happening! With the holes we have on Defense, we must use the pick to upgrade the Talent on Defense! :)

All rookies arent created equally.

Jack would start nickel day 1 over Ro

They just gave McClain a $5MM incentive laden deal.

You don't give that to a guy that you then only plan on playing 30-40% of the time. If the thinking all along was take Jack and then use him and Lee a lot, the Cowboys would have been wise to just save the potential $5MM on McClain, put Hitchens or Jack at ILB and use the money somewhere else.

People don't really think things through when it comes to the draft. Like people thinking Elliott is a real possibility at 4. No he's not when you listen to what the Jones' think about TBs, their injury potential and why they don't want to throw big money at the positoin.

With Jack on the team you'd play less nickle because of his ability to cover the slot. If you did go nickle you'd let Ro rest and keep him fresher.
