For all you people who have been at camp... I keep hearing about his legendary coverage skills but I have not heard a peep about his play at/near the LOS.

In short, can he tackle (RB or TE)?

Who cares? He can jump. And he is tall.

RAWR!

That being said, I hope he wins it outright, bec. that would mean he'd be a better option than Davis.

Pwat FTW!

I havent seen anything with him in a cowboys uniform but he was pretty decent in college, he kinda wraps his whole body around the guy he is tackling then he falls. is wierd looking for me but he seems effective.

Roy will do the tackling!
Roy will do the HITTING!!!

Pat will do the Intercepting!

Henry and T-New will do the Covering!

Hoepfully tackling will get taken care of in there somewhere

LOL!

You gave a good description... sorta like a wrestler.

No. He can't tackle.

He is the first football player in history who cannot tackle.

For pete's sake....

I've been wondering the same thing. Speed and leaping ability are great and we certainly need better coverage skills at the safety position, but we also need somebody who can wrap up the ball carrier. I love me some Roy, but too many times he has hit the opponent without wrapping him up.

Hmmm, perhaps Deion has his tackling coach over at FSU

Roy doesnt need to wrap-up. He is the exception. With the sooners and us I MAYBE can remember two "flat out" missed tackles from Roy. He's amazing. He puts on a tackling clinic everytime he plays. AS far as I'm concerned, he's the best open field tackler in the game!

P Watkins can't be all that bad. Higher center of gravity makes it a little tougher. He wont be as strong of a tackler as davis, but thats not what we got him for.

I guess you didn't see the Kansas City defense last year...

if i remember correctly, Watkins was a special teams ace at FSU, that should be a telling sign.

Second behind another well known FSU alum and defensive back.

I respectfully disagree. ROY NEEDS to TACKLE and WRAP UP.

High center of gravity just means that he has to get lower... I hope with his height and arm length that he has a great big wide wingspan and CAN wrap people up.

Pat Watkins... flying.... wingspan..... hmmm.....
