Can Rookie Jayden Daniels' Team Do What Rookie Dak Prescott's Team Could Not?

How will Washington fare in the playoffs?

They will beat the Rams.

They will then lose to the Lions or Eagles

I think Jayden can absolutely get them there but this isn’t the year. Washington isn’t quite there yet…..if ever in the foreseeable future.
He's at the danger point in his progression right now. Once losing it becomes harder to win the next time. Ask our Head Coach. The cause is rarely head on addressed.

But PAPPYDOG....I'm baffled why the slow mentally or panic driven? His predecessor wasn't a Rhodes scholar but maybe panic driven too.

I'm getting at the fact Dak's IQ and intelligence, or questionable mental acuity is tossed out there like the predecessor was on a fellowship to Oxford. Not true.

C'mon PAPPYDOG!....going down the wrong or unnecessary road.
Not trying to be mean to the Dak man but if you haven't seen the Deer in the Headlights the last 9 seasons (esp come playoff time) then bud let me recommend a great optometrist for you.
The man has serious issues with pressure and simply lacks the Football IQ to be a winner when it counts the most.
Now add to that his inept talent bar well 9 seasons later we got 2 playoff wins.
Heeee Hawwww...

I think the Rams will beat them, but they have a shot at winning it. Depends on which DQ’s defender shows up.
Could easily end up playing at Tampa Bay, not at the Rams....who will probably rest their team.

I'd be shocked if they got to the NFC title game. They aren't ready yet.

The big question is how do they add to their team to overtake the Eagles/win a SB by 2026. Eventually, it will be SB or bust.

I'd love to see all 3 NFC East teams in the playoffs with the Cowboys on the outside.
I would like to see the other three teams at 8-9 and just missing the playoffs selecting somewhere around 16th-18th in the draft. And the Cowboys hoisting the Lombardi trophy...but hey, that's just me.

My eyes are good or at least improved, that's why I wear glasses. I'm not disputing mistakes in games, but since you brought up IQ and serious issues with pressure.......let's give you an eye test?

Does this look like Football IQ and serious issues with pressure? We put all the negative on just one position/one person.......fair or not.......always just one position/one person.

Jayden Daniels is one run and tackle from turning into dust.
I think this is wishful thinking. Daniels is clearly better and smarter than RGIII. He is going to be a problem for a long time.

DQ gets them to the playoffs his first year, what a turn around. Coach of the year type material.
by record I would agree, but I am not sure the team is where it is at because of him. They spent money to fill major holes (still have them), and were gifted their QB. He did play a part in bringing the players/coaches here, but his "coaching" I am not sure is beyond what others have done

Can the Cowboys believe that we can draft a rookie QB and there's life beyond Dak
Jerry liked Johnny Manziel and Paxton Lynch.......we've been fortunate with our last two starting QBs........undrafted and 4th round. There is no confidence in Jerry selecting a QB high in the draft rounds.

Now factor in just the history alone for the commanders, not since Rg3 early on has the fan base had much to be excited about

Truth

Quinn has done a amazing job with the mess he inherent.
Anything more than a wildcard win would be unbelievable.
Next year they will take the division and more.

I can't debate with Church of Dak members you guys God bless are out there.
Now you bring Romo into this?
Enough ............great life bud....GL

Right now I see them as one and done but it is possible

They’re relying on outscoring teams because that Defense isn’t where it needs to be right now and the running game has regressed BIG TIME

Daniel’s is the offense and he’s great but they’re playing great teams now and we know how’s that’s been this year yeah they beat Philly but 2 starters (Hurts and CJ) were out and ejected

No rookie quarterback led team has ever won or appeared in a league championship game since the NFL and AFL first faced off. Do the Commanders have what it takes to make Super Bowl history?

Edit: changed 'championship game' to 'league championship game'

Edit #2: lol. Just to be safer, 'league championship game' means the combined game of either the NFL and AFL or NFC and AFC championship teams.

You can't completely rule it out but it is a long shot otherwise it would have happened before. It would be trivia-like noteworthy, and perhaps historically substantive if the rookie quarterback was also the Super Bowl MVP. What if the rookie quarterback was a backup and came off the bench because the starting rookie quarterback became ill or got injured early in the game?
