Can someone explain to me why starters were in yesterday up 20?

I would have put the backups in.
I’m not really sure who would constitute as a backup. We played with 46 and most of the backups played outside of Rush.

Davis had snaps at RB, Peters played at LG. Defense rotates on the line. Clark saw 33 snaps, Bell and Muk saw snaps at safety. Joseph was playing when Brown went down.

Ollison had 2 snaps, McKeon had 14.

Gifford and Wright were the only two. Giff had 1 and Wright had 0

I thought there were several questionable coaching decisions made yesterday, despite the big win.

That pass right before the half that was intercepted that gave Chicago 3 points and momentum before the half. The smart play is to take a knee and go into the half. The odds of something bad happening (which did!) are higher than anything good.

Having Parsons still out there getting further banged up and Prescott potentially injured again on a dumb pass play when you should be running out the clock are additional coaching gaffes.

‘Statistics guys’ should know better.
I was blown away by the pass play at the end of the half. You run a simple play and if something strange happens and you pop off a huge play to get closer to scoring range, then you try something. What we did was way beyond risky.

Because a 20-point lead in the 4th quarter isn’t insurmountable.

I was pissed we didn’t go for 2 when we scored to go up 48-29. Should’ve tried to push the lead to 21 in case the Bears were to somehow score 3 TDs.
I wasn't pissed, but I was hoping they'd go for it.

The game was still in a precarious situation until a good ways in to the 4th quarter. It was the right decision by the staff.

Coaches can't replicate real game speed and physicallity in practice, they need the reps to develop this offense, they did look better this week, specially Dak and the o line, Gallup too. If this Offense can even get close to last year's productivity add this D ans ST we will have ourselves a contender. On D I guess they were not very confident Chicago would not make a run. And you just have so many players, so...

That reminds me of two things. Dan Quinn's first year here when he pulled most of the defensive starters and the other team almost won. I was absolutely livid.

The second one was when Joey Galloway was in the game with two minutes to go and we were behind by 21. He tore his acl. It was week one. Thanks Campo.

Speaking of Wilson, all I have seen is undisclosed.
Wilson was officially designated with muscle cramps as the reason for his departure from this contest, though the exact nature of this issue is still unclear.

Sound like he probably couldn't get off the toilet. "Muscle cramps" - that would be my guess.

C'mon man...they cut it to 5 but then we hit the gas and expanded back to 20 again. You know that though, or should. Game was well in hand late in 4th qtr...just like many Cowboys wins I've seen over the years.......anyway, that's the way I feel. Any of you who disagree have NFL coaches on your side so there's that. I concede that 100% cuz it's a fact.
no we were also playing the refs,.and we already were using many payers and more went out limping.

I felt Dallas was giving guys like Parson a rest, number of times he was on the sidelines.

I don't even understand how he missed the safety being there. Dak played well but he tends to get tunnel vision that play and the one where he missed the lineman bearing down on him
