He will never have dez type skill. But he can be a reliable #2. Love him in that role.

totally agree. He doesn't need to be a superstar (although great if he does become one) he just needs to be somewhere around Alvin Harper level, at least as long as Dez is opposite him.
The big keys, more tactically, for us in regards to TW is that he continues to 1) be reliable (catch the ball consistently) 2) stretch the field 3) be reliable

Can Terrance Williams become a star? I think that's a pregnant question that is yet to be determined in 2014. He did well for a first year rookie but that's not the end of the story. The progress he manages to make this year will determine his status.

I think he's going to be a beast. With a full off season with Romo and the offense, and with how much he'll see the field with Miles gone, I'm super excited to see what he does this year.

I don't know about "star", but he exceeded my expectations last.
So far, so good.

if linehan creates an offense that gets guys open, then Williams could be the guy that helps to stretch the field when dez is doubled along with witten...TWill and an RB, throw in Escobar....who ya gonna guard?

His production as a rookie WR was nothing to sneeze at. He could very easily finish with 1000 yds in his 2nd season. Star or not, #2 WR is the least of this team's concerns.

My thoughts on Terrance Williams have mostly been lukewarm. I "liked" the player coming out of Baylor and I "liked" him as a rookie for Dallas. In my mind, I've always thought of his as a very solid, unspectacular wide receiver who will always play second fiddle in the NFL.

And then Williams started to get some buzz from a few writers who went back and watched some of his games. Here is an example of that:

This was just one comment, among many, that had me questioning what I thought of Williams' long term potential. So I wanted to look into Williams statistically a little more to see where he really stands.

So let's play a game to get this started. Below is a chart of four receivers. One of them is Terrance Williams. Can you guess which one is him? Who are the other three receivers listed? I will give you a hint: the three others were at the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl:

I think he is halfway there...

I want to see Twill use his hands more while catching,he needs to phase out body catching as much as possible.I think with better routes he could easily hit 1000 yards this year.

I like him as a #2. He really needs to work on his hands though. Everytime romo throws to him i hold my breath

You can pretty much take anything Aaron Nagler writes as law...him being a Bleacher Report writer only solidifies my belief in his assessments. But I am curious, who else was high on his 'star' potential?

He had a 3 week stretch where he couldn't catch a cold(8-9-10).Those where the first 3 weeks Austin was out, he caught 5 outta 22 tgts, before that he was 24 of 28. After the bye with Austin back he was 15 of 24. Thats just his rookie year so the only thing I would say for sure is he is already a capable number 2. I don't see why he couldn't be a star if they figure out what they were doing his first 7 weeks and do it some more BUT he also didn't score a td before week 7 so I think he really has to find a role this year before he can be a star.

How can he possibly be a star WR with the liability the Cowboys have at QB? Have you seen how fat he is?

Statistically he had a better rookie year then Dez, doubt he turns out half as good as Dez when it's all said and done, but i can't really see any reason to be down on him based on his rookie year
