Can the boys make it to 10-6?

Not with the current state of our pass game.

Dallas plays not to lose and their approach will land them in mediocrity which is why giving up our #1 pick and investing more into this season with this coach and this QB who isn't a good passer was idiotic.
That's the answer

The more I think about it, going 10-6 and making the playoffs is the worst possible scenario.

Seemingly because it validates Jerry's staunch defending of Garrett.

Just enjoy the games. We'll win some and we'll lose some. There is only one team going to the Super Bowl from the NFC and that is definitely not us.That much is certain.

I'd hate to have you as my Commander.

Absolutely. And here's how:

1) Sweep the Giants, which means beating NY there - entirely probable, but not guaranteed since it is a Division game.
2) Split with the Commanders, which means beating them here on Thanksgiving. Again, entirely probable, but not guaranteed since it is a Division game.
3) Split with the Eagles. Is going to be difficult, but is certainly a good degree of probability IMO. Main thing is we have to win the home game.
4) Split with the Falcons and Saints. We probably lose to the Saints, but losing to Atlanta is not a foregone conclusion as many think it is.
5) Beat the Bucs at home. A lot can happen between now and then, but I believe we win that home game.
6) Sweep the Titans and Colts. We'll beat the Titans at home Monday week, and I believe the Colts is definitely a winnable game.

Now, whether 10-6 gets us in the playoffs is another question. I don't believe it'll be a Wild-Card winner because of the Carolina and Seattle losses,so it's Division or bust IMO. The 'skins have to lose 3 or their last 8 (assuming we beat them here) to end up at 10-6. The Eagles will have to lose only 1 of their remaining 7 (aside from a split with us) to be at 10-6, which I think is pretty likely. They still have the Rams and Saints on the road.

Doables...

Agree but what choice do we have now but to hope they make it?

They threw away our #1 pick for next season and quadrupled down on their QB who can't throw and their coach who has no positive impact on Sunday's.

..I said that from the beginning. If they hadn't acquired Cooper, I would have to bring down the prediction to 7-9 maybe 8-8. With Cooper in the mix, they can win an extra 2-3 games.
But let's see what happens in Monday. Crazy things happen in the NFL. It's cornucopia of random events all happening in simultaneously play. Look at the Eagles last year. Everyone was hurt and yet still played well enough to be champions.

The good thing is that 9-7 could win the division.

I'm not sold, at all, on the Skins being the favorite in the division. They're basically the same team as the Cowboys in that they could lose to anybody.

Agree to an extent. While the Cowboys are my team and I want them to do well, I'm more interested in Jerry being proven wrong again.

Maybe they can turn it around. But I doubt it.

Right. They were a good team that got on a roll and rode it. Same as Atlanta the year before and Carolina the year before (even though neither won the SB). And us in 2016 as well.

I'm not completely sold either. They still have the Eagles to play twice - they're definitely not sweeping them. But other than that, their schedule looks pretty favorable for them on paper. They seem more like the 2016 Cowboys, except I think they have a better defense than we did.

We will need to win the division to make the playoffs. As I do not see a few of these other teams folding.
Saints, Panthers as one of them could be a WC. Bears and Vikings for their division, and do not rule out GB. Does one of them have a chance for a WC. Maybe, they have as much of a chance if not better than we do.
Rams most likely win the West, but Seattle is right there for a WC as much as those other teams, and they already beat us.

I do not like the term we control our own destiny, not at this point, which most of the time it pretty much means, we can't afford to lose another game. And from what we seen, we will lose again.

So for the division, NY is pretty much done, but can they play spoiler. No don't see it. but then we have Garrett if it comes down to win and in.
We do control our own destiny by beating the Titans, getting to even with the Eagles. Then we beat them twice, stay ahead of them that way.

But we will have to beat Washington, and have them lose a game or 2 in there somewhere.
We must win our last 4 division games. And have 3 winnable games with the Titans, Colts, TB. Leaving the Saints and Atlanta games.

Eagles have us 2 times, Washington twice, Saints, Rams, Texans. and the Giants. There can be 4 losses in there somewhere.

So to the Commanders.
Atlanta, TB, Texans, Eagles twice, us at home, Jags, Titans
So we must win, and there is another loss or 2 in there.

However, they can look at our schedule and say there are 2 to 4 losses for us.

For us to have a chance, we must win the next 2 games, but really 4 games. Which I am not having the confidence we will or can.

I wish the Jones's could've seen this simple post before they threw away our #1 pick. Nothing against Cooper either. He's a good player but he's a waste on this team with these coaches and this QB in this season.
:huh:So you're saying a veteran will be a waste of time with these coaches but a #1 pick wouldn't?!
