Can we all agree that Dak is at least a decent QB?

The Dak haters and Dak stans have their talking points, but what it seems to boil down too is this: Dak is an excellent regular season QB that simply fails in the playoffs. Nothing more, nothing less. It is his track record. Not winning enough in the playoff’s doesn’t mean he sucks. It means that he isn’t good enough when the stakes at highest. He is our Kirk Cousins.

Although I have supported Dak in the past, perhaps it’s time to move away from “good but not good enough.” But in reality, I see no options for this year other than stay the course and hope. I‘d like to see us draft a QB next year.

You can't make applesauce using cherries. How many years do some need to believe he is what he is. A good guy he just needs everything to click or he struggles. While JJ/SJ believe he is the second coming of the Goat, eight years into his career, I personally feel he is nothing more than an average QB. Nothing to do with hateing or liking just my opinion and I've stuck with it since he was drafted.

After the 49ers game I was questioning my Dak support. But have to consider the whole equation. He had a great game against the Bucs where many here thought he would fall flat, and then was held in check against a great defense. I think good QBs can regularly beat average defenses, but good QBs will have up and down success against great defenses. That's where scheme and coaching matters if you dont have an elite QB!

Did you happen to notice the QBs that made the final 4? I wont say Purdy is better than Dak but the team around him is built to win now. Clearly Mahomes and Burrow are better. Hurts played well when the lights are bright. Sitting on the ball and not scoring a TD, running clock, and not giving it back to Hurts was a wise move by Andy Reid.

Doesnt matter if hes decent

He isnt good enough to lead this team to a super bowl and thats why his detractors want him gone
Yep. He's a mid tier QB and that is very rarely good enough to win a SB. You can't plan on the outlier. To realistically have a shot at a SB win you need a top tier QB. That is just the way the game is right now.

decent? sure....out of the starting 32 qbs, we could absolutely do worse.....buuuut we could also do better as well. i'm not as down on him as everyone else, but you just know he's likely never going to be that rodgers/mahomes type of player

Dak is upper middle tier. He's not Burrow or Mahomes but surrounded by enough talent he can get this team where they need to go.

Unfortunately on this forum there is no room for middle ground. Fans here either think Dak is a Hall of Famer or a blinfolded Quincy Carter with no in-between.

BS. He destroyed the GOAT in the playoffs. Against the 9’ers he lost his second best weapon, only had 1 legitimate WR and the offensive lineman played poorly. All this caused Dak to play poorly. This is a very naive and uninformed take.

Dak is more than a decent quarterback and would be able in many franchises to get to a super bowl.

Dak is not able to overcome Jerry and the front office and I don't know of any other quarterbacks that could knock it out of the park with Jerry in charge.

You can't expect to win a super bowl no matter what quarterback you are with a front office that just cares about winning enough to stay relevant.
