Can we beat Atlanta?

only top 5 player they have on their entire team is Gonzo
To be fair, I'd throw Michael Turner in the top 5 RBs. But yes, the statement was a ridiculous one.

Im sorry, do they award victories based upon how many yards a team has at the end of the game?

Atlanta scores more points than we do.
They give up fewer points than we do.

Do the math.
None of this changes the fact that when experts rank offensive and defensive units, they use YPG. Because that's pretty much the only way to truly rate them without outside influences.

They are the better team, and it's going to have to take a special effort on defense ( that I don't think these coaches or players have in them) to beat them.
Guess you don't have to worry about watching.

Matt Ryan is the 6th-rated QB in the NFL. He's currently on pace for a 3900 yard, 28 TD season.

Michael Turner is on pace for 1300 yards and 20 TDs.

Roddy White is on pace for 92 catches, 1300 yards, and 12 TDs. In other words, a Larry Fitzgerald season.

Tony Gonzalez is on pace for 76 catches, 860 yards, and 8 TDs.

The Falcons offense is on fire so far this season.

Nope, because bottom line all that matters is who has more points on the board at the end of the day. They score more and give up less, which is why I think they beat us. It's not rocket science.

Seriously, do you feel good at all....at ALL about throwing this defense out on the field against that bunch? I sure as hell don't. They just got finished giving up 300 yards, 20 points, 20 first downs to the worst team in the NFL. How can you possibly feel good about that?

Wow...talk about a show-stopper. End of freakin conversation.

Not to jump into your debate, but you can book it that we're going to beat Atlanta. It's the Seahawks that'll give us trouble. Hasselback looks good and healthy and I just get this feeling that he's going to throw all over our D.

Ya but all our opponents know exactly what plays we're going to run and our receiver's pass patterns.

PS - Why do never hear about this after a win?

as long as Felix plays and stays healthy throughout the game and the o-line keeps Romo vertical, then yes Dallas can beat Atlanta

edit: actually upon further review, if JG pulls his head out of his *** and gives Choice more carries, Dallas could beat Atlanta without Felix

u should seriously get off their sack.....they have done nothing we havent done....weve won as many games and we score just as much, rush for more and the teams they have beaten are just as inept as the teams weve beaten....i realize its the IN thing to think every team in the league is better than the Cowboys but that dont make it true.......

I actually feel pretty good about this game, more so than the Cheif game. I thought we would be in for a dog fight and possibly lose to the Chiefs, thus ending the Wade Phillups era.

And then I saw the emotion on the sideline and how players were so into the game and how they rushed the field to celebrate the victory.

We will beat Atlanta!!!

they've barely scored more and barely given up less than we have...your ranting like there is some amazing discrepency. They couldnt do anything offensively vs Miami or New England. And new England could have hung 45-50 pts on them a couple weeks ago if Brady plays half as good as he normally does, he had guys wide open all over the place. A 900 yr old RB gained over 100yds rushing on them.

I think we win, too. I don't know why, exactly, but I feel good about it. That was our season going down the drain in KC, and we made the plays to win it at the end. Even I, an optimist, thought we were cooked, and the players dug down deep and somehow found what they needed to win.

And Atlanta is a good team, IMO. Really good. But I think we put it together this next game. Like Slate said, the last three years we've been very good after the bye. And we're at home and getting a healthy Barber, Roy, and maybe Felix and Sensabaugh back.

If we don't turn the ball over...then yes!

Unfortunately, it's like asking for a miracle with this team.

yes we can and will beat them. just play a complete turn over free game...

I always look at who a team plays the week before: we have a bye, they have the Bears next week; the Bears are VERY physical: I've seen them play twice and been impressed. We should be rested and ready to go................Falcons are better coached of course, but with that rest and them playing a tough game the week before I like our chances.
