Can We Clear Up The No Trade Clause Myth?

Having a no trade clause does not mean you cannot be traded.

It simply gives the player leverage to choose his destination.

So, if Jerry decides he wants to trade Dak he could do it, but only if Dak is okay with the destination.

This is just another example of how Dak’s agent schooled Jerry in negotiations.

Also, none of this matters because he’s just going to get extended.

We’ll be going through this again when we have a 36 year old Dak that’s owed 80+ million in his final year because cap boyz like to kick money down the road. So I expect extensions for Dak until he retires.

Oh, and he’ll still have that no trade clause.

yeah, I get tired of hearing about it as an impossibility. we've seen it happen before, and even recently w/ Carr. Makes things more difficult obviously, but not impossible.

Nah, Jerry did that to avoid hurting AC's feelers.

Not to defend Jerry but its not uncommon for QBs to get no trade clauses. Wilson had one but waived it for Denver.

A no-trade clause is a stipulation in a contract that allows a player to reject any proposed trade in which they are involved. No-trade clauses may also feature variations, such as provisions stating a list of pre-determined teams a player is willing to waive the no-trade clause for or one that allows a team to only trade a player during a certain period of time

Carr, Dak, Allen, Wilson, Watson are the guys with a NT clause.

Carr was traded. Wilson about to be. Hopefully Dak is also.

Dak's list would prob be SF, Ravens or the All-Madden team on xbox.

Dak will accept any trade as Jerry can threaten to make him a post-June 1st cut.

Lol if he would accept a trade he would PREFER to be cut and be a free agent.

Clueless
You are Clueless as after June the 1st most teams have their starting QB1 in place already.
You know the draft has ended and not many teams interested in paying 60 million to a choking QB.

Nope. The June 1 cut would take place in March anyway. They'd have to give him an extension anyway if they traded for him, makes no difference.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Dak will only be replaced when they find a better option.

You should be the world's biggest Trey Lance fan. Jerry personally traded for Lance. Jerry has incentive for Lance to replace Dak.

Players that get benched never refuse a trade...
