I dont really see how you can credit him for doing what Bledsoe was oh so obviously not doing, protecting the football.
The defense was top 5 in yardage and up there in turnovers before Romo started playing. There were two issues that we wre having.
1) Having to defend a very short field multiple times a game. This was Bledsoes fault and should not be misconstrued as Romo doing anything 'for' the defense. He is SUPOSED to not turn the ball over.
2) Free safety play. The Galloway reception in the first quarter still shows this as our achilles heal on defense. Davis pass awareness is almost nil.
But in other news Romo is about done on his cure for cancer. The lysing enzyme is still giving him issues though.
