We had a healthy contingent at the Purdue pro day, and the only player there worthy of taking in the first day that I can think of would be Anthony Spencer at OLB. That doesn't mean we'd draft him, but it does probably mean they're seriously considering it.

I think we'll have a "healthy contingent" at many different players' pro days. If you love a player, that supercedes need. That doesn't mean he's the one they target for the first round.

Having said that, you can never have enough pass rushers. But unless the guy is a stud like Ware, he won't be starting.

I wasn't counting 3rd WR as a starting position. If we're to include that position, then we should includ nickel CB, in which case I think a CB would probably start on day 1.

We have 10 draft picks this year, tied for the most of any team in the NFL. If a first round draft pick isn't going to crack our top 22, you have to wonder how many of these 10 picks are going to have a legitimate chance to make the 53 man roster. I'd like to see the Cowboys do some trading up to get players they really like in the first day.
