Can we Finish

LOL right...he literally beat the Patriots in overtime on a throw I don't know what he wants when it comes to "finishing" lol. Even Greg the Leg has had some big kicks.

I want a team and a QB that will finish down the stretch. The Pats game was a long time ago . What we have seen lately is not what it takes to finish a season or have a good playoff run . Sorry but that game against the Saints with no QB was hard to watch.

The longer this season goes on "same old Cowboys" comes to mind. Still too dependent on the offense to hide a defense that gives up too many big plays.

Good offenses will put up 30+ points on the Cowboys and this place will just complain about the offense. When the defense actually does show up the offense will struggle.

We'll soon see if this year is different. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore. I need to see it to believe it at this point.

We are going to find out a lot about this team on Sunday. If they lose it is not the end of the world, but it will make every game for the remainder of the regular season 10 times as meaningful and stressful. They just need to beat Washington once, and win 2 other games and they win the division. If they can't do that then they are not champions and we will be spending the off-season wondering how this team could have collapsed as badly as they did.

But if they win Sunday, they really change the outlook for both teams. The Cowboys get a huge confidence boost and the WFT will be wondering if they are good enough going into a very tough game against the Eagles.

The WFT has to play Dallas and Philly twice and they need to sweep both teams to have a chance to win the division or at least win 3 of those games. I just think Dallas and Philly are better than Washington. I guess we'll find out over th enext month.

Not quite, but a bit better D and we could be.

Yep and we keep trying to work around the same problem a soft middle . Our young playmakers have done their best to provide us the turnovers to stay competitive . In the playoffs against the best QBs that dont make mistakes this could be a lot to ask for . When we dont get the TOs we get exposed badly . Fortunately, the QBs left in our division games here at the end are not the league elite but they are gamers with competitive fire that want to win and should in no way be overlooked

Not 100% sure why Dak is not running anymore but he used to be very good at knowing when to run and being able to do it and protect himself . I never viewed him as a running QB but he was always a big strong athletic guy who could get us a first down in an emergency and keep the chains moving . All this 3 and out till the 4th qtr heroics could very well keep us from the post season and will most definitely lead to a one and done if we get there
his calf+ankle injury. he doesn't have much strength in that part of the leg and he is probably having pain/lingering issues. forget about running, watching him throw, his foot work is bad, specially that he doesn't put much weight on his back leg (right leg) when throws before he pivots forward. watch his film early in the season, vs. now. he is leaning on the front leg when he sets and doesn't get much power in his throws which also impacts his accuracy because he is trying to add power with his arm, so sometime it floats, sometimes its too low. he is trying to compensate but the release point is inconsistent at times

the reason I say I don't care much about runnign QBs, is in my opinion, QBs need to be able to throw from the pocket first. Dak had improved and was fantastic at it in early part of season. deadly accurate....throwing in motion or on the run is a plus, it just depends....the scrambling ability to extend plays is key and he has lost that so dependency on OL is higher to keep pocket clean. I looked at his KC, Saints and Raiders games and he was pretty good from the pocket still, less on deeper throws (less power) but pretty average when he was moving specially to his right.....perhaps not enough sample, but compared to earlier in the season when he was very accurate with his throws.

  • Ranked 29th in yards per reception with 12.4.

You're not making a playoff run with that defense.

Got to agree this is a very important game to see where we are . There is no reason we should lose this game . We should come out and dominate from start to finish . We are fresh and as healthy as any team could hope for at this point in the season .

Our young dynamic duo of Parsons and Diggs have helped negate that horror the best they could with pressure and TOs but that cant be counted on in the playoffs against guys like Brady and Rodgers who routinely make good decisions and great plays .

This team is limping 2 said finish line metaphorically and physically speaking. Unless we can flip a switch Sunday and go on a mini run, get hot and get healthy 2 some degree, we will struggle. Teams that are relatively hot and healthy this time of year are the ones that go deep. We are neither right now. We have much 2 prove.

But they won the Saints game and they "finished" like you said you wanted them to do lol.

...... but they’ve made up for it by being ranked #1 in penalties!

We will finish 10-7, win the division, and lose in the first rd. UNLESS we can prove we belong in the next tier of good teams.

We are banged up at RB but I believe we will have Gregory , Dlaw and that young DT back for this game . The Oline seems worn down but its as good as its going to be at this point in the season and I believe we have our full complement of WRs . We are coming off a win even though it was an ugly one IMO. There is absolutely no reason we should lose to this team

energy level. WFT will bring it. Will we? Will we be a fundamentally sound team? WFT is that. We better be ready fr the physicality and high energy wave that the WFT will hit us with. If we can withstand THAT at the start, and hang in there, we can win. This game will be 1 f field position and taking care of the ball. We must choke them out early.

i honestly wouldnt be shocked if this were true

Just look at last nights game. Vikings up 29-0, and then they forgot how to play, and in the 4th quarter, Steelers come back to within 9 points. Helped by the refs as usual.
Vikings score to go up 16, but wait, here comes the Steelers, get a TD. And even had a chance to tie it on the last play (well they would have needed to get a 2 point conversion) But a good defensive play caused it to be incomplete. I was amazed there was no DPI giving the Steelers one more play.
