Can we just cut Jeff Heath?

Heath is an undrafted, practice squad player. He has no business being on an NFL field right now.

We blame the coaches for this, but the blame is on the GM and on the scouting department. Poor drafts, poor management of the salary cap, and questionable contracts being given to unproven players.

You forgot to add in blaming someone on the injuries. At one point there was only two healthy starters on the field in Bruce Carter and Barry Church. Ware was dragging a leg. The rest are street urchins of which some are playing reasonably well.

Lets not go Carp on the Kid........its not like he was a #1 draft pik.........the play that got me was where he was just thrown away on the long TD pass---had his momentum going away from the ball flight and the receiver just used it to clear him.

You guys do realize he is a third string UDFA? He had a decent game against Detroit. I wonder if they regret cutting Will Allen right about now?

I realize he is not an nfl player and so does everyone who saw the game.

Aren't there any better safeties on the street. Surely there has to be one better than Heath?

You are within your rights to criticize his play at times last nite. However, you may consider he has only played a few games and certainly didn't get first string snaps in camp. He's an UDFA rookie from a small school.

Personally I'm pleasantly surprised by his speed, athleticism and willingness to lay some wood. Whether he becomes a NFL starter or backup is TBD.

He had 9 tackles and only bounced one that i saw.. the one that led to the TD. Rather he go for the big hit there or the strip anyway because we all knew they were going to score.

Was Heath interfered with by Stills while the ball was in the air? Looked to me like it but I could be wrong about that, as it wasn't a penalty.
