Patriots should let go of their SB aspirations too.

IMO there are 3 variables that you have to have to consistently win in the NFL. Those variables are QB, Head coach and Front Office or GM. The Patriots have the best (if not the top 3) in the league in these 3 variables. Yes, it does not hurt that they have played in a poor division however from these 3 variables they built a system of winning and competing for SB day in and day out.

I was under the impression you were *****ing about preseason prognostications when you trotted them out, since nobody's been chirping much about this team being Superbowl ready since week two. But then, it's difficult to tell sometimes.

Either way, the point stands. Nobody qualifies for the championship game in week four, so the dramatics here are unnecessary.

Keep adjusting your thesis. You might eventually get it correct.

It's a ridiculous statement comparing a team that has a long history of winning Super Bowls and playing well at the end of the season compared to team that has none of that.

At week 4 in the regular season, no team is out. Pointing out that a team with a long history of winning Superbowls and playing well at the end of seasons is in the same boat we're in right now reinforces that point, which is why it was posted.

Is anyone really talking SB right now? I haven't heard any SB talk since we got drummed out of Denver, and certainly not after we struggled by AZ. Right now I'm just wondering if we can get to 8-8, which is where the bar has been lowered by most fans.
