Can we please put back-to-back winning seasons?

Hard to believe 2007 and 2008 were the last back-to-back winning season. Hell after 2009, we didn't have another winning season until 2014. One word seems to be the hallmark of this franchise over the last decade........inconsistency

2015 was mostly about Romo being out, but yeah it is frustrating. Probably part of the reason why I wasn't overly optimistic this season - I've become accustomed to expecting things to go wrong.

Now they might make Marinelli kind of a scape goat but I don't think there is a frog's chance in Hades that Jerry replaces Garrett. They'll just point to 13-3 in 2016 and say some things just worked against them in 2017 and it's not Garrett's fault. Jerry seems to drop nuggets that he's disappointed with the coaching, but in the end, he just backs Garrett. Remember his commentary after the 4-12 season saying it was unacceptable to lose 12 games, even with the QB issues? Mattered little as Garrett was back in charge. That will be the same thing this year. Jerry might have a few comments giving us hope he'll can Garrett but in the end, he won't act on it.

I fully expect Garrett on the sidelines in 2018 and likely 2019. That's how stubborn and nostalgic Jerry is.

At this point, I am just hoping they at least get a new DC in here.

I agree here.......no way Jason gets fired after 13-3 record last year. However, like you said, one of the coordinators will likely take the fall. Did I hear anyone say Norv Turner? What about Jeff Fisher?

It’s frustrating for sure but it’s not just this team that has trouble maintaining success. Outside of the Patriots, Packers and Seahawks (and maybe a couple of others like the Bengals and Steelers) most teams are unable to string together playoff seasons. Most teams in the league are 8-8 teams that have variance a couple of games in either direction due to schedule, luck, and injury. Last year was very special, especially with the winning streak (11 game win streaks are historically rare) so I hope you enjoyed it. But it had no bearing on this year.

Don't expect back to back winning seasons, he has never done it and it looks like the streak is staying intact this year as well.
