Time will tell, but I just think with Irving and Lawrence, Taco can play DT, just because he was drafted as a DE he should be able to add muscle to his big frame and play DTNot a bad idea, especially if he can put on 10-15 pounds of muscle. The problem with Taco is that he is not a pass rushing monster that everybody wants, he really is a true LE.
He is never going to be a double digit sack guy, now we can debate if he was worth a first round pick or not but he is not nor is he ever going to be that War Daddy everybody wants.
Why exactly would you want to lose a seemingly dominant DE entering his prime?Moore is the closest thing to a true RE we have.
To me I hope Tank has a great year and plays himself off the team. We are stuck with Crawford at least another year due to contract. Taco is our first round pick and Irving is oozing with potential. Thing is, all are left ends with the ability to kick inside due to size.
Back to Taco, his best position and where he should focus on and get most of his reps is LE.
Because Taco doesn't lead the league in sacks yet.Why exactly would you want to lose a seemingly dominant DE entering his prime?
He has 100 snaps so far...................jeeesh to the criticsBecause Taco doesn't lead the league in sacks yet.
For the life of me i can't understand why a fan would want a player to play so well he gets off the team. Struggling with pass rush and you want the best rusher off the team.......wowMoore is the closest thing to a true RE we have.

Exactly. Makes no sense. For the life of me i can't understand why a fan would want a player to play so well he gets off the team. Struggling with pass rush and you want the best rusher off the team.......wow
Taco has a better pedigree coming into the league than Lawrence did.Not a bad idea, especially if he can put on 10-15 pounds of muscle. The problem with Taco is that he is not a pass rushing monster that everybody wants, he really is a true LE.

Making deceleration of what a rookie will be 4 games into his professional career is monumentally stupid.
Would be much better if he continues to be our war daddy. Letting our best pass rusher leave is crazy. If they are worried about him continuing to play at that level you franchise him then look at it again next seasonIt wouldn't be all bad. You save his cap hit and likely get a 3rd round pick for him. That's only a good idea if he doesn't become Hardy without the baggage. If he becomes an average player (like Crawford) then it would be much better to let him walk.
None of what you say disputed anything I said.Taco and Lawrence were projected to go within the same general area. (Within 10 picks).
