Can we really go into the season with two change of pace backs as our top two runningbacks

Size? No. Quickness to the hole and ability to run through tackles.

You were definitely lost if you were trying to consider a thought other than your own!!!!!!!!

And here's how lost you are: In general, gazelles at RB do not make good short yardage backs, as they aren't built for it. You are definitely lost on this subject.

BTW, why do we gotta start the stupid little childish insults war? I thought we were having a discussion, dude.
Fyi……you are one of my favs. But we can disagree. Feel free to lay into me. I respect your opinion.

Dont take my ribs serious. Too
Many do.

I'd conclude that there really isn't a prototype for running inside. However, quick to the hold is an absolute must. Tony Dorsett was a really good inside runner, as was Emmit. However, must have a trait that does it.

In today's NFL, size can often be a hindrance when running inside.

And then you have the rare ones like Demarco Murray who just did not fit any sort of profile of an inside runner. He looked like an outside runner. But, then he'd get the ball and man, he'd be twisting and turning, getting low, just sort of following a maze through the LOS.

However, the primary trait is simply quickness/burst. Gotta get to and thru the LOS. Must be able to break tackles, however, as arms will be reaching while you're running. Gazelles just don't work running inside.

Wish we would have gotten one of the many blue chip feature backs in the draft that were available in the 2nd....instead of the backup TE we got.

Tyjae Spears is at the bottom end of "starter weight" at 201lbs....but that's a monster compared to Duece...and the guy can flat out kill it in every facet of the game as a 3 down back.... but then 5'11 235lb Kendre Miller from TCU who can run a sub 4.40 ....is a true feature back.....

But yeah let's grab the b/u tight end who's already 40 years old and probably won't play much this year.

Do you think Pollard and Deuce are Gasseles?

answer is yes. The league has evolved to that. I think we keep 2 rb's and 1 fullback/rb hybrid. Its gonna be a tuff cut down day. It will be 20,42 then a mystery guy. Maybe we try Stephens at H back? I see Hendershot getting cut. Hes done nothing.
