If it's a 3 down linemen, 4 safety alignment, yes.

The Cowboys didn't seem to think that linebackers were necessary this year.

Reality!!! Jerry thinks this team is as close as it’s been in 30 years. He’s not looking for a developmental QB while having this team, so it’s going to be Dak for the next 2 or 3 years. He’s not going to have Dak learn a new system in consecutive years while having this team. He’s going to want this team to hit the ground running next season without any hiccups, in an offensive system everyone is familiar. It’s either McCartyhy’s system or Moore’s system!

It’s probably where we’re heading if they hold on to McCarthy which is almost certain. If they do decide to hire a new coach I’m guessing it will be Kellen Moore as the most likely target and there’s no telling where it can go!
Man…they are gonna fire big Mike.

He humiliated Jerry in front of millions of people.

I mean why not try something different, get possible better usage out of our players

We have mazi/hankins/hopefully another big body coming soon this off season to play the NT

Have Lawerence, Micah as our pass rushing OLB's (i'm not sure how much coverage you're going to want either doing maybe more so micah) law can drop back and cover the flats IF he'd be willing to even make the switch

Fehoko/Osa as our DE's add bigger DE's for the 3-4 (just an idea for right now)

Find new ILB's

Make Sam williams a LB as well, try to get him on the field, this would be his last season to show something substantial

What else can we do, please give your thoughts
It takes time to change schemes like that. When we ran the 3-4 under Parcells and Phillips it was effective but we had completely different types of players.

I would say this is extremely unlikely given the personnel we have now. We do not have a patient front office for a rebuild which is effectively what it would require.

Jerry didn’t get where he is today because he makes the emotional decisions of a spoiled child with bedwetting issues!

The 3-4 is the best defense for controlling the run game. That’s a fact by design. Many teams have run it successfully without a big time pass rushing OLB. With Parsons, this could be a run stopping defense that also helps him maximize his talent.

the 3-4 actually comes up big because some 3-4 drop their LBs in coverage pass lanes from either sides, Peyton Manning used to say that's why teams like Chargers and Steelers who employ the 3-4, gave him more problems
because he could not always dictate who was blitzing and who was dropping into passing lanes.

It also depends upon a preferred 3-4, most emphasizes the 2 gap control, while the rare ones like Wade Phillip and Rob Ryan, were one gap, slant types, that place emphasize on pass rush moving forward than
holding up at the line.

i believe you can still have a very strong run defense with a 4-3 scheme just as well. But regardless of 3-4 or 4-3, it still comes down to player personnel and coaching.
And as it seems, teams are still using nickel defenses with 2 LBs, than three.

Cut Sam Williams. He's an absolute moron and will always hurt this team at the worst possible times. You can't fix stupid.

Only if we had brought in Belichick and his gang... not going to happen now.

I was sort of itching for it too. Always been my favorite defense and I think in some ways DQ has accidentally knocked himself into one with some of his size mismatches.
