Can we talk about the Rams

First game for this new defense having to match up with McVay is a problem. That plus not having Collins at RT will be a huge problem.

Rams take the opener 31-24

Wow. So all our weapons on offense won't function because Collins is out.

We've seen Dallas play down to opponents before, but honestly, the Rams aren't a good team. Their OL is broken, which sucks for an offense that wants to set up the run and protect a mediocre QB. The defense is top-heavy, with Donald and Ramsey supporting probably a bottom 5 unit aside from them. Their LBs especially are just really sad and should provide plenty of opportunities to exploit with underneath passes.

On top of that, we'll see how motivated the players are with the whole Corona season going on. They may end up treating this like a "protect your knees" campaign, we really don't know yet. So between that and the Cowboys' consistent inconsistency, I hate making bets on them, but if I had to I say we win by a touchdown.

I think it’ll be similar result to last matchup and I’m not exactly the most optimistic poster here....

one week out and the Rams game to me is a must win. If they lose this game they have potential to pull an 0 for september. The rams are young and in transition. They have two good wr and a good tight end. They have an offensive line that is middle of the road. Their defense looks to be like ours in the middle of big changes. Very weak at linebacker, good on the defensive line and ok in the secondary.

They are running a new defensive scheme. Like Dallas getting ready to play them will be a challenge. I mistakenly thought they had hired Joe Barry as DC having not paid much attention. They actually hired Brandon Staley as DC and they are staying in the 3-4 and running Vic Fangio's scheme. They have a good group up front when they go nickel defense. They have donald, brockers, ekubam and Floyd. That is pretty good and will challenge this offensive line.

This game has serious potential to be a sloppy game that comes down to whoever has the ball last. That didn't go well for Dallas at all last year. The OC and QB here came up short everytime they needed them to go win the game. Hopefully something has changed there this year.

I imagine a lot of penalties, poor tackling and lots of communication issues for all teams in the first week or two of the league. With both Dallas and LA having new defensive schemes and a number of new players this just feels like a game that will be a mess.

if Ramsey takes gallup out of the game and they double cooper this could be a long day for the offense. Will Cooper even play? David Helman mentioned yesterday that he thinks xavier woods could also end up on IR after this weekend because he is injured also.

From April to August Dallas has been promoted as this uber talented team with a new coaching staff that was going to make said talent that much better. I heard that Bobby Belt character on the fan yesterday say the cowboys are one of the three most talented rosters in the league....Give me a break.....

BS season is over and they have to play a game in 7 days and I am not sure they are as talented as they have said they are. I can really see a scenario where the east is just a toss up when we get to December. All four teams are similar and have injuries and weaknesses.

anyway the Rams look to be in transition and have low expectations with the quality of San Francisco and Seattle in front of them...plus wherever Arizona shakes out in the end. Dallas has talked about a super bowl since April because they drafted a wr, now the games are ready to begin. Dallas Has to win this game. I feel like Dallas defense is going to be in for a long day versus seattle, atlanta and cleveland so this is a must win game.

MIke,
I tend to agree! Even though this is the 1st game of the season it is a must win game because the Rams and Cowboys were right there in the mix for that final wildcard spot last season. The Rams were eliminated by the time they played the Cowboys but still these teams are right about wild card level.
Both teams will be dealing with injured players on IR and its going to be up to the coaches how they deal with this and adjustments during the game. Everyone is so excited about McCarthy but he is no Sean McVay. I think the Rams front four is capable of getting to Dak and making him feel rushed. Also a player like Ramsey in the secondary is not good for a QB that isnt very accurate. I had the Cowboys losing this game the minute I saw the schedule come out. I think Goff is a better QB and it will come down which QB gets it done under pressure. As far as Dallas being a top 3 talented team in the league I dont think they are. They definitely are one of the most over rated teams in the league.

Does he need to? He's not alone. lol
Of course but you posted one name. Rams arent going to lay down your right but we got one good man out. I think we take this one but I've been wrong more then right

Look, I'm not a Rams fans so I don't know all their names. They have a very good team and should not be taken lightly. That's all I'm saying. A victory over them will set a great tone for the Cowboys to build on. I don't see it happening.

I know your not a Rams fan King. I looked over some commentators on the Rams and some of the comments made it seem as if they have lost and not replaces some players. I'll be happy to get to see a game.

But you seem to want to hold it against me that I only listed on Rams player. And use that as fodder for why the Cowboys will win. It was a really weak attempt at a rebuttal on your behalf.

I literally have zero clue how this game is going to go....we could win big, lose big, no clue.

will dak stay upright, will the defense get pass rush, hoes our coverage going to be, will the play calling be better....honestly zero clue to any of these until 830 Sunday comes around

hope we win and win big

you found my talent

Anything is possible especially in this crazy year, but Dallas is much more talented. The Rams are going to pay the price for all those short term gratification moves they've made the last couple of years... Probably about now.

Goff is better QB? Not be any stretch. But glad to see you are doubling down. It seems in this post all the people who have bashed Dak for the offseason think we lose.
What’s worse is people like you would rather lose and be right. Then win and be wrong.

Just like @CATCH17 saying we should have traded the farm for Tua. Who isn’t even starting in Miami. Lol.

The Cowboys won their game against the Rams in 2019.

Jaylen Ramsey was already on the team in 2019.

They didn't have a 1st round pick this year due to the Ramsey trade.

WR Brandin Cooks is gone.

RB Todd Gurley is gone.

Their interior OL from the 2018 season playoff game are gone.
yes remember the 40 burger we dropped on Ramseys Jags as well.. weve beat ramsey twice now on to different teams.. :)

Cam Akers actually has the knees of a functioning 20 something running back and not a grandpa on his way to bingo night after the early bird special at the buffet.

Kupp and Woods are good at wr. And Higbee and Everett are more than enough at tight end.

It's a new season and anything can happen especially with the crazy offseason and lead up to this year we have had.

It's possible that we lose this game. We have our own issues on the offensive line and they still do have Aaron Donald.

I think this is going to be a toss up game that we have struggled in post Jimmy especially in recent years in the current century.

I see us winning like 27-24.
weve beat the rams a few times with Donald and more talent with Garett at the helm..let that sink in..:)
