I’m not overly familiar with Cooks’ game besides he’s traded every year.

Is he more of a slot guy ?

Would OBJ or Dhop move to the slot ?

CD
Cooks
Obj
Gallup

Tolbert

?

Probably not because Gallup is paid to start. We could trade for one mid-season if Gallup is again a flop but for now we need to back him in to return to his previous form.

I think we are most likely looking at another 3rd round receiver in the draft, maybe later.

draft now needs be ol/te/rb/wr first 4 rounds unless d player drops and can’t pass up.

WR is done for outside of somebody like Addison, Hyatt slipping or a late round guy.

Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Tolbert, Turpin are your 1-5 locks. Tolbert being the high pick and Turpin your returner.

Fehoko should make the squad because he can play ST. But I don’t see them carrying more than 6

. I'm all for rolling with what they have and adding a stud TE through the draft. I'd take Torrence at 26 if he's available. If not, then Kincaid, if he's there.

OBJ still makes sense roster wise

Lamb - alpha WR1
Cooks - field stretcher
Gallup - contested catch artist

OBJ - route savant

I would bet, they are done with any big name guys now. Wouldn’t shock be if they made a Ced Wilson like move still.

I don't see the Cowboys adding any other WRs before the draft and certainly not trading for one. Cowboys probably draft a WR between day 1 and day 2. Maybe Hilton signs again later in the year if he's still interested in playing.

No, that isn't happening. Don't underestimate the impact of adding Cooks.

They will draft someone and hope that Tolbert can be the #4.

Which i like.

Now we just need to find a couple of RBs, a LG, and a DT and I am happy.

Lol, exactly how much cap can and you need to allocate to one position. After Junior tryed to scam them during the playoff run he was never coming here, outside of an opposing uniform. Not sure there’s anything left of this dead horse to be beaten!!!

No but I’d bring back Hilton on the cheap. Likely they are done until the draft and it’s been a good offseason. I wouldn’t be angry if they figured it out with wagner tho

If Tolbert realizes he can play in the big leagues finally this season it won’t be needed. I still have high hopes for him

Agree…I think also it rules out using a high draft pick on a wr this year but at least we are better

I think Cook is what they were hoping Tolbert would be as a rookie

Oh please, Tolbert came out of a spread offense in the sunbelt league. They knew exactly that he was going to need at least a year of development just becoming familiar with pro style combination routes. Normally he would have spent the rookie season returning punts, that role went with the signing of Turpin. As soon as they announced they we’re having him learn all 3 WR positions was obvious they never planned on having him contribute this season!
