i definitely settled for 5th place, but let's be honest, the eagles collapse the past few weeks set us up better than we did ourselves. We did what we needed to at the end, but luck was definitely on our side after losing to the bills & dolphins.

I figured we were headed for the 5 seed again. What surprised me is how badly the Eagles have fallen apart. The Cowboys did enough to take advantage of it.

I like the idea of a couple home games in the playoffs given how this team has played at home. If they can't win (at least) 2 games these playoffs, when will they?

Honestly NEVER gave up. When philly got destroyed by SF, I knew the door was open. Then when I learned that even a loss at MIA (although I was upset) was not THAT detrimental (AFC opponent) as long as reeling philly still dropped one, I kept hope feeling like we could win our last two. Beating philly at home was the key to the last quarter of events.

Darkest moments were the Eagles and 49ers losses.

49ers loss... thought they would at least be competitive. Remember, we were off to a great start along with 49ers beginning of the year vs other teams.

Eagles loss... close game that I thought we blew. Both games we could have sent a message that it was a different Cowboys team, but looking back, I think we had the right balance of adversity.

Not as down after the Buffalo or Miami losses but knew that Detroit was a must win game.

Sometimes in sports, it's about luck as much as hard work, smart play, and talent. I felt the luck start to go our way in Detroit's game and it hasn't stopped yet.

It wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.

What's your story.
I’ve been trying to get the depressed negative Nancy’s to change their attitude all season. Even after every loss!!!

I thought the division was over. Not gonna lie.

Never gave up hope they could make a playoff run though.

Everyone thought there was no way the Eagles were gonna lose to the Giants or Cardinals, the Cowboys were already predetermined at #5. Guess that's why they play the game.

I’m still not convinced. We recently got blown out by the Bills and we went toe to toe (one win, one loss) with the Dolphins and Lions. My feeling is that the Dolphins and Lions are tier-2 playoff teams, but we saw the Dolphins get destroyed last week by a tier-1 Ravens team. By any indication of the last month of the season, we’re good enough to hang with some playoff teams, good enough to blow out some tier-3/4 playoff teams, and might not stand a chance against a few a teams. If we’re just happy to be here, then sure. But if we’re here to win a Super Bowl, then we definitely haven’t silenced the critics yet.

I gave up winning the division after the loss to Miami. No one could have predicted the MEGA collapse by Philly. The wheels, doors, hood and bumpers have completely come off for Philly.
