I don't see how you would. I never saw any real reason. Almost every team has ups and downs, even 99.9 percent of the best ones. I've always been relatively sure, not positive, but relatively sure we win the NFCE, one way or the other.

Here we are...

I’ve thought we are a tier 2 team since the SF lose. I still think that and we would be a 5th if not a 1-5 skid by the Eagles which is unbelievable.

2 home games means we could indeed get to the Championship game, but I have a hard time truly believing we can go beat SF when they have knocked us out the last two years. Maybe home that game is different, but away, I haven’t seen anything to make me think that will be a close game.

It wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.

What's your story.
A lot of them gave up after the 1st game last year.

Everyone thought there was no way the Eagles were gonna lose to the Giants or Cardinals, the Cowboys were already predetermined at #5. Guess that's why they play the game.
Not everyone. I felt that the Eagles could lode to anybody because they aren't very good and their secondary is terrible.

9ers game is the only game that truly bothered me..

The rest of these games I just chalk up to the NFL being how the NFL is today.

Everyone is too hyperfocused on the Cowboys but the entire league is so week to week.

The 9ers have some really gross losses this year.

I gave up winning the division after the loss to Miami. No one could have predicted the MEGA collapse by Philly. The wheels, doors, hood and bumpers have completely come off for Philly.
No one? Didn't I tell you that the Eagles could lose to the Cardinals and the Giants?

After the Dolphins game I said we'd win the next two and the wildcard round, then probably same song and dance during divisionals.

I doubled back after Philly lost to the Cards. I expect a conference championship appearance. From that point I'll just have blind hope.

Giving up is not in my blood.
Lol what? You literally gave up after the 49ers game. You made a whole thread on it
Don't worry, when we win it all, I won't forget you jumped ship, especially on a special season

I have no idea what you told me, but I don’t remember anyone predicting the Cowboys would end up winning the East after the loss to Miami. Even McCarthy said after the loss we were going to have to be road warriors in the playoffs. Philly completely collapsed.

Many of us think the Cowboys can win in the regular season just fine, but are worried about the team being able to switch that switch to play playoff caliber football. I'm optimistic but it has yet to be proven.

Lol, you are so funny. I liked how you said we could lose to Washington. Your long winded wishy washy stands are classic.

I think the biggest thing is that before because we were no longer able to control our own destiny regarding our seed, it was easy to settle for the 5th. But with a little NFL luck we managed to once again be in control. Now we have the best chance we have had in years to do something special in the playoffs. Maybe we just needed a bit of luck eh

We had some luck. Philly Collapse, and winning a game where the other team out smarted themselves. With that momentum they had, if they would've kicked the field goal, maybe we wouldn't have stopped them. I'm optimistic.

We had some major luck. Anything other than a total collapse by Philly would have put us on the road next weekend.
