it also could mean that Barber is going to be getting a new deal pretty soon
Yeah. Those are two guys I want to be cornerstones of the franchise for years to come.

6 cornerstones (Romo, Barber, Witten, Ware, Canty, Newman)

yeah the wait for free agency and the draft is going to be unbearable.

At least I can satiate myself with the Dallas Cowboy-themed Pro Bowl this weekend.

I am going to the practices on Saturday and the game on Sunday.

The last time I went to get autographs was before the 1989 Pro Bowl. I got Eric Dickerson, John Elway, Warren Moon, Anthony Munoz, Max Montoya, Herschel Walker and Randall Cunningham's autograph.

The guy who turned us down was John Offerdahl of the Dolphins, who said he didn't sign autographs and then proceeded to sign autographs for a couple of girls a few minutes later.

I thought the phins already were using a 3-4 defense....?

Wasn't Capers(a 3-4 DC) their DC last season?

They've had 3-4 looks the last couple of years, but I don't think they've been a full blown 3-4.

Max Montoya was an offensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a nice guy and took pictures with us(which were lost long ago). I didn't know who he was then, but I think we got his autograph because my Mom thought he was cute.

My major problem, I think, was that I was a six year old boy and not a hot 21 year old girl.

They were defending AFC champs that year ( so close to beating the Niners)

The Cowboys were terrible then, and I kinda cheered for the Bengals (I wasa Boys fan, but it felt good when I team I cheered for actually won) in 88/89.

The Cowboys are expected to place the first- and third-round tender on restricted free agent DE Chris Canty.
The 6'7/300-pounder has emerged as Dallas' top end, whereas Marcus Spears hasn't been a difference maker. If Canty was given anything less than the first-round tender, Bill Parcells' Dolphins would likely be all over him.

Not surprising, we dont want to take a chance of losing Canty.

Nice. So now we are assured of extra picks if someone actually did go after him. I'd hate to lose him but I don't guess i'd complain with another 1 and another 3.

Now, I don't see that happening, so don't think I'm saying that like I'm thinking about it actually happening.

It's just interesting.
