I wont laugh at another team's injuries. If they still have Fred Robbins, he may not be going anywhere.

Honestly, it wouldn't shock me to see NJ put Alford on PUP at the very least. If Canty doesn't play by the final preseason game, he might end up there as well. That would save them two rosters spots, if PUP players don't count against the 53 man roster.

Isn't Alford also their long-snapper?

The Giants are still pretty stacked along the DL, especially at DE.

I'm not high on their LBs or Secondary.

Neither can be put on PUP. They would have to be put on IR which would end their season. Doubt that happens.

Me either.

5 step drop + pass out = negated big bad expensive defensive line.

I was under the impression you could put a player on PUP until the first roster cut down from 80 players.

That's too bad for him. I had a bad hammy, and it takes forever for it to heal up fully.

Felix Jones is an antidote for the DL.

Witten will continue to make Pierce look silly.

Over/under for Witten's receptions against Pierce per game = 5

Over/under for # of times Martellus gives Pierce a wedgie after the fact = 3

I don't wish this type of thing on anyone. I hate to see guys get injured, no matter who they play for.

And unfortunately this thread has taught me a lesson as well. I can no longer give it to Eagles fan for cheering the injury of Michael Irvin. I used to think I could give them crap for that cause we wouldn't have fans that would do the same. I know better now. It's clear we've got fans who wouldn't just laugh about something like that but they'd probably throw a party about it.

Now, obviously, Canty isn't hurt for his career, thankfully, but it's pretty clear that we have people who would cheer it all the same, rather it's a short term or a long term injury.

Canty is beginning to progress well, began to run yesterday, and was quoted as feeling great today. Still has his eyes firmly set on a week 1 return. To those that laugh and root for injury, do you see now why karma is a b****?

Do you see the punchline your setting up w/ your 2nd sentence?

No, I actually think it's even more apt now that the Roy Williams injury was a scare blown up by the media. Just like the Canty situation, where initial reports hinted at a season in jeopardy, some fans on this thread seemed thrilled with that prospect, no doubt the same fans which were s***ing their pants at the prospects of possibly losing Williams for the year.

Both players now seem likely to recover in time for their season openers.

I don't believe in karma, but if I did, I'd say this thread was a good example.
