Canucks Dream Scenario 2010 Mock Draft. Thoughts?

I just spent half hour doing this and my internet shut down for some reason, so this is going to be a little unspecific, if that makes any sense.

Dez Falls, Jerry feels the urge to trade up. He's shown to much interest for it to be a smokescreen.



Jerry Trades 27 and Bennett to Cincy for 21 and a 4th.



1) Dez Bryant 6'2 220

If RW flops, heres you're replacement next year. Replaces Crayton this year. He's going to be a special player.



2) Akwasi Owusu Ansah 6'1 205

Could start at safety day one, or provide CB depth. 4.3. Could be scary good at FS. One of the best return men.



3) John Jerry 6'5 330

Mauler, Big guard. Could replace Kosier. One of my favorite Olinemen.

Jerry gets a call, Its Miami. They offer there 4th for Crayton and Barbie.



4a) Brandon Spikes 6'4 240

Horrible 40 drops him here. Replaces Brooking in 2011. He makes plays despite that 40 time. A gift here IMO.



4b) Mike Neal 6'3 290

Either Hatcher, Spears, or Bowen are gone this year. This guy replaces on of them, could potentially start at end down the road. Provides some breathers for Jay.



4c) Jason Fox 6'4 320

A steal here. Flo's not going anywhere this year, but he could be gone in 2011. Here's you're replacement. He's a gift here.



6) Eric Olsen 6'4 316

Gurodes getting up there in age. Provides depth. Could start down the road.




7) Jameson Konz 6'3 235

Heres Phillips' replacement, who replaces Bennett. Could be short yardage guy, legit speed, big play threat.


I'm confident with these guys, we'll be SB contenders for years to come. 3 great Olinemen, and fills ALL our needs. Game breakers. If we can find a kicker in free agency, or Buehler/Hughes, I think we could be real scary. A dream draft.

are we getting all those players in the 4th or are they options in order of preference? if we get all of them how do we get 3 picks after trading away a 4th?

i like it other than the first pick as you well know but not unrealistic if spikes stock is as low as people are saying

We're getting them. And we didn't trade away a 4th, Cincy gave us a 4th. And I just have a feeling Spikes is going to free fall. That 40 time is just brutal.

Trading up for Dez Bryant would be a monumental mistake.

Aside from that its good effort for thinking outside the box. I do like the selection of Jason Fox - I think he's going to be very good despite his injury setbacks. AOA is a good pick too, but I'd rather have Kyle Wilson or Devin McCourty before him, maybe even Nate Allen (all three are pet cats!) and I think possibly all three will be there at #27.

AOA is a good pick too, but I'd rather have Kyle Wilson or Devin McCourty before him, maybe even Nate Allen (all three are pet cats!) and I think possibly all three will be there at #27.

I like a lot of the same guys you do, and I'm thinking this draft really is deep when you can have multiple pet cats at a single position.

I was leaning towards Wilson and/or Mccourtey but I had Jerry trading up and I felt that FS was a bigger need and AOA's return skills are just insane. Nate Allen is by far my favorite player in the draft but I didn't want to jinx anything so I left him out lmao. I think Jerry either trades up or trades down based on the prospects we're interested in.

Do you not like Bryant just cause of the character concerns?

Yeah i wouldnt trade up for Dez. I'd rather stay at 27 and get McCourty then trade Martellus for a 2nd and get Alualu
