I don't think you know what the world albatross means.

Because Crawfords contract isn't anywhere near it. Including the 7.25mm he's slated to make this year he'll have used 3.7% of our cap over the last 3 years. Cutting him outright next year would then actually save us 2mm in cap space.

Jay Ratliff was an albatross. Tyrone Crawford was one of our best lineman last year and someone who you wish made 2mm more less this year.

I think when you look at a guy like T. Crawford it really makes a difference which side of the fence you are viewing him from. I thought extending Crawford wasn't a bad move at the time, although they probably paid him too much money.

He seemed to under perform this past year, although he may have been playing out of position. I think his days playing inside may be over. He can't rush the passer from the QBs back side, so realistically he must either contribute from one defensive end spot (the traditionally non rushing end side) or he doesn't really have a spot on the team.

He was among the top defensive lineman in hurries. Hurries turn to sacks when you are playing around better talent.

Why exactly do you think a guy who was top 15 in the league in hurries can't contribute to our football team?

I know exactly what an albatross is, thanks. Try again.

Carr is most definitely not "way better than decent."

You guys don't know how difficult it is to play CB in the NFL. It's fine, though. There are more important things in the world than pro sports.

LOL.

Brandon Carr is an average NFL CB. The idea that he's "way better than decent" is laughable.

And yet he lead the team in qb pressures
That's more of an indictment of the front as a whole than it is of Crawford.

What happened to the good ole days of CowboysZone where you guys only cared about sacks - and not just sacks - but only "clutch sacks" like when you guys wanted to run DeMarcus Ware out of town???

Now Olivier Vernon is the very epitome of the perfect edge rusher.

People here turn green with envy at his 8.5 sacks and want Dallas to spend $100M on their own eight-and-a-half sack machine.

Never mind that Irving had 4 sacks in a reserve role for like, what? About fifty bucks?

We gotta spend and we gotta spend BIG!

It's the only way.

Sacks are great but all pressure helps. Never understood those who attached Ware for when he got a sack
