Cap Space Update

Is that including the rookie cap reserve? or was that taken out already?

still have Crawford cut still in our back pocket if we want to move on a Everson Griffin or Trufant
Crawford should be gone period at his salary. Highly unlikely they’d be savy enough to use the space he’d provide to upgrade the defense.

I don’t think it includes that. Over the cap estimates the cowboys rookie pool to be 7.2 million.

So even if it doesn’t include the rookie pool that still leaves 14 mil in cap space. Plenty for a couple of starting level players. They’re in good shape.

is daks tag included in that amount? If not and I'm guessing no bc he is not signed. Doesnt look like there is $$ left for his deal. DC fans be prepared for crab legs as ur QB this year.

Yep, TCraw salary adjustment in their back pocket...go get a legit NT to pair with McCoy. Then choose between a starter type CB or DE.

After that wait till draft and post draft releases/June1 to find some bargains.

Plenty of space to add a starting corner or DE and have money left over for draft picks.

I think you need to do some more math. The projected rookie cap for the draft is at 6.7 mil so that would leave 14.8 mil that's going to get a STARTING CB and DE? We're talking the NFL not fantasy football.

Draft pool will only be about 2.5-3 million.

Does the rookie cap need to be adjusted?

Seven draft spots time $610,000. $ 4,270,000.

I didn’t say high end, all pro level starters. But yeah. It’ll get solid starters. McCoy cost 6 mil. He’s a starting level DT isn’t he?

Plus the cowboys have other cuts and restructures they can do to create more space.

maybe you should pull out a calculator of your own. The cowboys have plenty of space to add another couple of starters on defense.

And there are more cap-saving moves to be made, i.e.: Crawford.

I think the Cowboys still envision an extension for Dak, so don't be shocked if they sit on a huge chunk of change.

When you have half the entire cap space going to a small number of players you don't have cap space. I am not saying this is a great team by any stretch but we screwed ourselves with the zeke and cooper contracts.

20 mil a season for a guy that couldn't beat 5th string corners in Philthy with the season on the line? No thanks.
