The cowboys can easily restructure Zach Martin, because he isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon so it won’t be a problem.
They can also get 10MM or more from DLaw if they want to do it.

When accounting for the rule of 51, it’s cut down significantly.
Don't be shocked if Dak holds out & gets what he wants because there won't be any FA quarterbacks left.
Say goodbye to that huge chunk of change.
Kinda like JJ has done for 20+ years...sorry, couldn’t resist. The rule 51 is just a way of allowing teams to have the 90 players in camp regardless of the contract amount without having to be under the cap. It actually means nothing come the season when teams have to be under their cap limit. Rule 51 is just something to let fans play wannabe GM for a while.

Crawford is taking a pay cut or will be cut.

If Dak gets extended, it will lower his cap hit this year.
So again, the cowboys can get a couple of starters with the cap space they have available to them. If they so choose. It’s not really open for debate, it’s just a fact.
Lastly, opening your post with criticizing my viewpoint because I’m a “fan on the couch” is asinine, considering you are also a fan on the couch. Which means your opinion is just as worthless.
Lastly, of course it’s up to if the coaches and front office choose to do it. That goes without saying. So bringing that up, like you’re making some kind of insightful point, is also silly. Based on that, this entire message board is pointless because discussing potential movies the team can make, is pointless because none of us work for the front office.

Again Joe fan from his couch has proclaimed what will happen with a player even though he has less than ZERO first hand knowledge. He's relying on all his ever expansive experience from his couch. Here's a little clue for you. Players like Martin aren't to the point in their careers where they are going to take a pay cut and they also aren't going to restructure their contracts without some kind of incentive which is adding more money in bonus money and adding a year or two to the end of the current contract. Thus if an injury befalls them and either their play starts to suffer or even worse is forced to retire all that bonus money becomes dead money on the cap. Yes restructuring is a fact as a means of creating more cap space but Stephen finally saw what over two decades of renegotiating contracts which ends up adding dead money on the cap which leaves for little cap space did to keep the Cowboys in cap hell and I VERY seriously doubt he will go back to that ugly vicious cycle. Lastly if Prescott signs a long term contract the cap hit this season isn't going to be less. since he's already rejected a 34 mil a year offer and the tag amount is 31 mil.

Nope, it’s how the league actually operates during the offseason, so it's appropriate cap accounting, so that's how I present it.
Even once the rosters expand to 53, the additional 2 players will be minimum or near minimum players. That's only an additional $1.2 million dollars. Teams don't worry about the last 2 roster spots until they have to because they're that irrelevant. They'll either have the space or easily create it.
No if you check actual NFL you'll find that because EVERY player who goes mini camps and training camps HAS to be signed to a contract and the only way teams could do that is by the 51 rule that only counts the 51 highest contracts out of the 90 players that are in camp. Now yes the final 2 players are going to be smaller contracts, probably rookie contracts, but the original reason for the rule 51 is to allow teams to have a full 90 players in camp. What you presented was a wrong rookie pool amount which I proved by a link that your amount was much less than what it actually will be.

Too late. When you have half the entire cap space going to a small number of players you don't have cap space. I am not saying this is a great team by any stretch but we screwed ourselves with the zeke and cooper contracts.
20 mil a season for a guy that couldn't beat 5th string corners in Philthy with the season on the line? No thanks.
1. Restructuring doesn’t add years to a players contract.
2. No crap restructuring adds bonus money. That’s the point of a restructure to spread out cap hit.
3. Many of the cowboys contracts have built in restructures that are up to the team to exercise. Furthermore, you’d have to be a moron to believe a player wouldn’t want immediate bonus money as opposed to having to wait all season for game checks.
4. Average Joe from his couch shares his opinion on a message board and then criticized another average Joe on his couch for doing the exact same thing, sharing opinion on a message board. You sound like a hypocritical tool bag criticizing me for being an average Joe, when you are too.
5. Russell Wilson’s cap hit last year was 26 million. A full 5 million less than Dak’s current 31 million cap hit. But tell me again how Dak’s contract wouldn’t have a lower cap hit in the first year then the tag. Please oh wise master in his infinite wisdom who is putting this sorry average Joe on the couch, into his place.
It still wont effect the cP as much as the tah does this year and nextIt was always going to him anyway.
