Still up in the air whether or not he turns pro, but I would love to see the Cowboys draft him if he comes out and is available in the 3rd round. Cannon, mobility, pocket presence all can be seen even after starting only three games. Not going to be immediately ready, but we won't need him for several years anyways. What say you?

Only watched the 2nd and 3rd quarters last night but saw the Alabama game. Big kid, big arm but was not all that impressed with QB skills.

Did well enough for a Freshman. Are either of the 2 injured QB's for OSU underclassman?

Looks like Culpepper lol idk, but I mean he's only had 3 games and doesn't have to play here right away I wouldn't mind getting him at 6'5 250

JaMarcus Russell says hi. Big doesn't always mean good. Too me he has to prove he can thrown in college for more than 3 games before I waste a roster spot on him.

He'd be stupid to come out. Ohio State is loaded and he definitely needs more experience. If he decides to come out, I'd pass on him based on his obvious intelligence issues.

Where is he going to play next year?? In my eyes its go the D2 route and start for a year or go pro and let a team develop him. Plus I would never in a million years blame someone taking $ that could potentially (if he's smart with it) set him up for the rest of his life. Pretty ridiculous that you would make a judgement like that honestly.

He needs one more year. He should transfer to a Conference USA or MAC school

So you think that he's better off coming to the NFL with the amount of experience he now has, rather then staying in and finishing his education? I'm OK with whatever your opinion of my opinion is. In fact, I feel better about it now.

Do you not follow college football? As of right now he has both Braxton Miller and JT Barrett ahead of him at QB. Meaning that if he goes back to OSU he isn't playing next year barring another freakish year of injury. Would going back to OSU and starting for a full year be the best thing for him? Of course it would, but unfortunately for him that's not the scenario he's facing.

Education is always an option....being an NFL QB is quite possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity. So yeah, if you want to judge this kid's intelligence level on this incredibly difficult decision then I will also judge your's. Put yourself in this kid's shoes, he has 48 hours to make the hardest decision of his life and the "wrong"(according to you) pays him a **** ton of $...more than likely more $ than working 15+ years at whatever job his degree gets him would be.

Yes. I follow college football. Do you not get that he's not going to get drafted in this upcoming draft? He's going to be a UFA. If he stays, he may have more opportunity to play. He will certainly get an opportunity to improve his skills as a QB and put himself in a better position to compete for a job in the NFL. Do you not get that he can do the same thing next year if he decides to stay in school and finish his education? When he gets to the NFL, if he makes a team, he will be beyond lucky if he ever becomes a starter and ever makes enough money to retire on. Paid education is not an option for him if he leaves school.

I told you before, I'm good with whatever judgement you want to make on me. Trust me, I'll sleep at night.

Sorry, didn't realize I was talking to someone who has inside information....reality is that you have 0 clue whether he will be drafted or not. I promise you that he has people with A LOT more information than you have in his corner.

And I'm sure your not naive enough to think that he wouldn't get a free education if he chose after just winning OSU a national championship

He's getting talked up about by the talking heads right now. His lack of track record counts both against him and in his favor. He has good tape out there, against two very good teams, but he doesn't have a lot of tape of him being good out there. I doubt he's a 1st, but I wouldn't ever be surprised to see a team take a reach on someone in the 3rd or 4th if they think they see a starting QB in him.

I think he talks, very quickly, to an agent and has that agent suggest where they think he would go in the draft. If they say 3rd or higher he probably jumps. If they say 4th or lower he probably stays. If he's not starting next year he has to go downward to a D2 school and start or else he will disappear into the back ground again.

All I know is that there were dozens of games on tape on Logan Thomas that made it pretty clear that he sucked and yet he still got picked in the 4th round. Why? Because he's a 6'5 250+ lb QB with a strong arm and decent athleticism. That's exactly what Jones is and there will be a team for him in the 3rd-5th round range too, there always is for a qb like that. Terelle Pryor is another prime example even though he's not quite as big.

In my opinion, Jones has shown more in these three games than Russell ever did at LSU. If it weren't for Al Davis I don't think any other team would have drafted Russell in the first round. Jones is a better runner than Russell who was a statue.

I think Jones would be a decent pick up as a project in the 4th or 5th. I can't invest more than that in a guy who has very little experience.
