Nfl network just said they think he will go in the 2nd round maybe 3rd

On pure talent he could. However his bust potential is extremely high. I wouldn't touch him in any round Im hoping to get a future starter in.

He isnt a toxic guy but he is immature. And being immature I cant expect that he is going to do what he needs to do to be a starting NFL QB. Being that his immaturity is more him being young he can grow up. But personally he is too raw and too immature for me to want to spend more then 5th on

Million dollar arm and awesome athleticism with prototypical size, but a $.10 head from what I have heard. Question is, will that head come around by the time that Romo is leaving? Boom or Bust prospect

Immature, lazy practice habits, doesn't put in the time. I don't like him at all. I'd rather take somebody else who is going to live in the film room because the guy we take will hopefully be sitting and learning. That does not translate over to what is being said about Jones.

To me he is a contingency plan late in the draft if we do draft a QB high.

I wouldn't touch him earlier then the lat 3rd day.

Honestly, I would not take him at all. He's the kind of kid that is going to need to be babysat all the time. If you are developing a guy, you don't have time for that. Your guy has to be a self starter because he is not going to get a lot of reps or time. He has to be somebody who lives in the film room and who is going out of his way to throw to 3rd string receivers. Putting in time throwing 50 yard passes into trashcans with nobody over your shoulder. That's got to be all on you and I don't think Jones is that guy.

He has already improved since the season ended. His footwork under center looked smooth. He already had the other tools. I would take a shot later in the draft regardless what we do early.

I wouldn't right someone off because they were a bit immature when they were a teenager.

For anybody that would take him in the first three rounds, might even be a coach killer.

I don't think you can do that. We already have Moore, who we are trying to develop and you will likely draft somebody who can come in and be the guy you groom for Tony's replacement. I don't think you can bring in another young QB and put time towards him. I think that's a waste of a pick. I just don't think you can bring in that many guys and give them all the time and resources needed to develope. It's actually better if he were to get taken by somebody else who has the time to spend to develop him. JMO

We disagree about Moore. I think we saw his best, he has no tools with a great mind.

We should draft a QB every year until we have 3 good ones.

I don't think we disagree. I mean, I didn't say that I thought he was the answer. However, I do think that it's very likely that we see him as the backup. The team seems to like him and he is Linehans guy. If not him, then somebody is going to be brought in to backup and that person is going to get the lions share of time (after Tony) in order to get them up to speed on the system and the game plan for the week. There just is not going to be much spare time for another QB, let alone two young developmental QBs. JMO
