When its Dallas I usually enjoy watching the younger guys in these types of games anyways.


The best part about Pre-season is ALWAYS the rookies.

This is just one of those games where you just look to get through it with your team healthy.

There is not much you can do to evaluate against the oppositions riff-raff and vice versa.

All you want to see if there is some obscure bottom of the roster player who pops off the screen. George Selvie did this in the Miami HoF game a few years ago.

I'd be fine with sitting the veteran starters. But some of our starters, especially on defense, are really young and need all the reps they can get.

But the proven stars should find a comfortable place to sit and watch.

But players like Gathers, Noah Brown, etc. need to show up. This also is a chance for Lewis Neal and Andy Jones to continue the momentum they have from practice.

Then you also want to see your draft picks like Xavier Woods, Marquez White and Joey Ivie play well.

No doubt. However, if Dallas wasn't playing in this game, I would watch one drive for each team and that's it.

Probably will end up watching the first 2-3 quarters. Definitely interested in the young receivers. Jones, Brown, Switzer(?)

Both Rod and Keith Smith. Tight ends like Jarwin and Gathers. Cleary at LT, and the LG competition.

And then of course the new guns on defense.

I still manage their snaps too. Awuzie needs to be conserved. As badly as we all want Jaylon Smith out there, I don't think that is advisable. Lewis is hurt and won't play.

Play the late rounders. Marquez White needs to show he belongs. Same for Ivie, Carroll, Noah Brown.
