...... he'll be too slow to stretch the field in the NFL. and whoever said he would help the red zone offense.... just smh. we spent a second rounder on a second string tight end. for the second time in... four years?

3rd time's the charm!

When I first heard te I wasn't thrilled, but reading more about him I think he could be outstanding in our offense. Good route runner, great hands he will have a big role in the offense and its a pick that makes more sense than the tight ends we drafted prior. This is all about giving Romo more options. If we pick up an rb later in the draft and pickup a lineman in free agency I think we accomplished what we wanted on offense.

I suppose the Lions should have passed on Calvin Johnson as well right? I mean think of all the busts they had previously!

I don't know enough about this guy to view this pick one way or another. But if this guy was the best guy on the board then absolutely this was the right call.

The kid looks pretty damn good to me, great height, great redzone target, catches everything and looks plenty fast to loose lb'ers and towers over safetys. He's got some nice wiggle to him. Just hope we really incorporate him into the offense. Im lovin this pick...

There is another YouTube video profiling him, he's a painter and oh by the way, is a huge giants fan. Paints pictures of Brandon Jacobs, his favorite player at the time, and Plexico Burress. Has them hanging on his wall.

That's a firing offense!

Actually, looks a lot like Dez the way he attacks and just completely engulfs the ball.

I think this guy has a similar skillset to Tony Gonzalez. Not overly fast, and probably not as polished of a route runner, but big, good leaping ability, and able to catch everything. There is room on every roster for a guy like that.

However, my concern is not that we took him too early, or didn't address other needs, its that, coupled with the Williams pick, and James Hannah, how are we going to get everyone touches. JG has never shown the ability to get creative offensively, so unless he plans on taking Witten off the field and putting Hanna and Esco on to replicate what NE does, I don't see the point.

He is a pure pass catching TE not a blocker, too many Zone Defenses worked last year, he will work with Terrence Williams to exploit Zones and force single man-man coverage on Dez.
