There's a certain prototype that Marinelli values, and Carl Davis doesn't fit that mold.

The guy is lazy with a lack of motor, plus is strictly a 1T. His leaked interview comments would completely remove him from my board. This guy has bust written all over him. I would rather trade up and take Brown since we'd be throwing away a pick anyways.

One of our twitter guys should ask Dane Brugler if Davis also had poor interviews at the scouting combine, I have not seen any whispers on that front.

He seems to hear the chatter through his contacts.

I just got Brugler's draft guide and FWIW he lists Davis as a 2nd round pick. His writeup doesn't mention character concerns but does say he "takes well to coaching".

Interesting on the missing concerns, may need to email them about it on the draft show, see what they say about it.
