I like Williams as a pass rusher, but Im still bringing Lawson back. If Williams want to get on the field, he has to be better than Lawson. Before he got hurt, Williams was going to play a bunch of snaps because who else???

I'm 100% open to having him come back as well. He was a good depth piece and with Lawrence possibly moving in we'll need more proven depth.

Williams once had a total of 4 sacks in 4 straight games .

The sheer ability is there.

But coming off an major ACL injury, recovery return form may likely take a year of work.

I'm for collecting quality depth in the DL.. .sure i'd like to return Lawson in the rotation.

Plus it may take a year ACL recovery by Williams, so we'd need that much more DE depth help.
And i'm preparing myself that it could be a possibility that Dlaw may not return - per surprise cap casualty.

Basically means we'd only have Lawson and Kneeland as healthy DEs going into 2025.

With their issues, this team is so far from worrying about if a JAG like Carl Lawson comes back or not that I literally could not care less at this point

He’s a guy I want to bring back. He’s a good veteran leader who can give you impactful snaps. 5-7 sacks is good for a player of his caliber at this stage of his career.
