Maybe Carpenter's allergic to tackling .. or maybe he's allergic to other players which would explain his normal avoidance of the technique. He tackled Young in the preseason game which may have triggered the reaction.

Then again, perhaps he's really an offensive player is simply trying to juke (no relation to our juke) the offensive player.

here is alittle more on him;
Travis Bright signed by Cowboys OG

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Travis Bright
G, Brigham Young
TRAVIS BRIGHT MEASURABLES
Height: 6-4 Weight: 317
40-yard dash: 5.39 10-yard dash: 1.81
20-yard shuttle: 4.56 60-yard shuttle:
Broad jump: 9-0 225-lb. bench: 35
3-cone drill: 7.76 Vertical jump: 35
Wonderlic: 20-yard dash: 3.09

War Room analysis - Bottom line: Bright is a solid football player who understands how to play the game. He is best as a run blocker, but needs some work on pass blocking. Still, there's little doubt he'll be playing on Sundays next season as a starter.

Hmmm, so then why did he go undrafted? Is he really good enough to start?

EDIT: P.S.: So Barbie's contracted a case of the itchies. That slut! :laugh2:

I read this thread as "Carpenter has poison ivy.. Wade likes light bright" (something my sister had when she was younger where you put those different color pegs in in the board and they light up)

Sort of disappointed, actually. Was hoping Wade used the thing to map out defensive plays and whatnot. Would have loved to have seen the reactions on here.

What's the number of UDFAs that get sufficient time on an NFL roster to develop? Earlier picks have access to resources for longer, which is a big part of why many of them ultimately develop, but there are enough really good players from late rounds and FA to prove that it's possible.

Carpenter's friend: "Did you hunt for Poison Ivy at the video store?"

Carpenter: "I thought you wanted me to hunt for poison ivy beside the video store!"

Bright has put a few DTs on their keister during TC. Everyone was lauding the Isdaner FA signing, but Bright is more physical, more versatile and more nasty.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Picture Elmer Fudd with long blonde hair wrapped in a tight bun asking himself how interesting those shiny green leaves are.

He was probably out hunting a Russian with Pauly Walnuts.

at least Bright can play - he played pretty well on the 2 teamers againest the Titans
at 6-5 #320

3 year starter for the Cougars. Arm and hand length 33.9, 10.0in.

Travis also did pretty well at the BYU Pro Day on 3/11/09. He did not run the 40 or do the jumps, but he posted a 4.56 short shuttle, a 7.87 three-cone drill and 35 bench reps. At the NFL combine Bright had the 2nd highest bench press reps (34 reps of 225 lbs.). He can max out at 540 pounds.

Strengths
Phone booth style OG who will move a defender out of his gap. Packs a punch and is very strong through the upper body. Gets push and turn. Is able to pull better than one would think. Good punch. Good lateral quickness. Hits moving targets and can get out on the 2nd level. Seasoned in pass pro.

I think ole lazy fat boy Holland better look out - he looked slow last game

as well as Procter - for Preston

churning the ol depth would be a wonderful thing imho.
i cant imagine feeling secure if an ol went down but i'd sure like to experience that.
