I don't know why they don't have Carter rush the passer more as a SLB. The way he rushes the punter, I think he can get to the QB better than most defender on our team.

This.. We need to send him in about 3-5 times a game, I know he will get to the QB at least twice...

Weird...I though Carr showed up and played quite well last night, and Carter's blocked punt was a key factor to a TD.

Game only became interesting because we didn't secure the insides kick they recovered off Escobar's hands....game should have been over right there.

This ^^^^^ I would put him in a DE on obvious passing downs....Which happened to have been the whole second half!

I think Carr's situation is entirely based around the cap hit. I think if they can afford to release him, they will.

Carr was barely marginal and proves every week why he shouldn't be a starter.

The blocked punt gained us about 25 yards of field position or about 5 Murray carries and while it was nice to see a special teams play it wasn't a game changing play by any means.

They free up 500K if he is released immediately or they free up 8M if he is a June 1st cut.
It's going to be very difficult for Jerry to explain why Carr isn't a June 1st cut. It's one of the easiest no-brainer in the history of no-brainers.

Carter played a good game yesterday and even blocked a punt. Carr on the other hand is just brutal.

I missed the second half game thread, but did Carr get any slack on here for the fact that Jeffrey was pulling on his jersey in order to create space on that TD catch? Carr was pissed about it, and the announcers kept saying he couldn't believe he gave up the play, but really he was mad that he got yanked right in front of the ref and they didn't call it.

Carter, by the way, had a blocked punt that was a bit play in this game. Maybe not the best week to criticize him, though, when he's been absent for a few weeks in a row.

Saw that too, clear yanking of his jersey. Should have been called...

I appreciate the sentiment but the TD that Carr gave up should have been offensive PI and Bruce did block a punt. With that said, Carr is not worth the money, but what is a better option at this point?
