He's not very instinctive looks like an average player.

I agree. But in his defense.....what should he look like in his first year as a free safety? Everyone said he was a project when we got him who had some polishing to do.

How else do you learn? If you're not on the field?

He's had all year to learn. He played like crap during the Philly game. The coaching staff should have known to employ Plan B.

Jones is simply NOT an NFL player.

A player is either instinctive or they're not, that can't be taught. It's still early in his career but I'm not thrilled with him.

So that's it.....you give a guy one year to learn and then you just dead him.......that's not how the NFL works my friend. Its just not. Cowboy fans should know better than anyone. Especially with all of the players this year we had that took about 3 years to show they can play in this league.

I would agree on most positions but in the NFL the DB position is tough to play and takes time. Its not one of those things where you just come in and learn it off the back.

You're saying he's not instinctive.......if tonight was the first game i've seen from him then I would agree but he's shown he has instincts. Tonight wasn't one of those nights. Maybe the stage was too big for him I don't know. Not making excuses for him but I honestly like what i've seen from him. I like what he offers in the coverage game its just the consistency part that we're not getting.

Can't really blame any of them. Wish JG would consider the same. This organization has a hex over it. For 21 years it is a freaking joke. It's really uncanny. The Cubs have won a WS now and here we are 21 years later with this hex!

Think about it myself...retiring from them.

Imagine how the Lions or Browns feel. At least we have SBs

Things obviously can change, I suspect that Carr and Mo will each be cheap enough that Dallas will consider resigning both. That will allow them to focus on the real problem which is the lack of talent up front on Defense.

Good. Hope witten follows once romo is traded/cut and Garrett is shown the door

Sick of the old guard and their losing mentality
You're completely foolish if you think Garrett is going anywhere. You don't fire 13x3 coaches in the NFL.

To be a good safety you have to be instinctive and Jones hasn't shown that. Playing a lot of corner as a rookie he was being toasted and gets fooled a lot. A video was posted during training camp of Witten putting a move on him and completely beating him. Earlier in the season he had both hands on an errant pass which should have been an INT and he dropped it. I've been unimpressed with him and he's part of the problem in our secondary. As I said it's still early in his career but I've seen this movie before with other players, too much inconsistency and we eventually we move on from them.

Carr and Free are Scapegoats around here, but both are Solid starters who aren't easily replaced, especially in Salary Cap era

Getting burnt doesn't mean you lack instincts though. Especially as a rookie.
